Patch Notes: 0.22.2

QoL: Add a way to disable floating mode: you need to run the game with --disable-floating-mode argument



Please note that the in-game patch notes incorrectly says 0.22.1, which will be fixed in the next patch.

Also, plans for Patch 0.23 has been released, you can read the most up to date version here. I have attached the version as of writing as follows:

[h3]New Civilization: French[/h3]

  • Louvre: For every 10 Extra Great People at Rebirth, one great person from all unlocked ages is born
  • Centre Pompidou: Once constructed, all buildings get +1 Production and Storage Multiplier. The wonder will persist if the current run reaches Information Age and the next run is a different civilization. The wonder gets +1 level at rebirth for each run that reaches Information Age with a unique civilization. The value of this wonder is excluded from total empire value and British Museum cannot transform into this wonder
  • Mont Saint-Michel: Generate Culture from Idle Workers. Provide +1 Storage Multiplier to all buildings within 2-tile range. This wonder can be upgraded using the generated Culture and each level provides addtional +1 Storage Multiplier
  • Arc de Triomphe: Every 1 happiness (capped) provides +1 builder capacity to all buildings
  • Dune of Pilat: In each age, double the age wisdom for the previous age
  • Bastille Day: Double the effect of Centre Pompidou and Arc de Triomphe. Double the Culture generation from Mont Saint-Michel


[h3]Holiday Event[/h3]

  • Easter Bunny: Once constructed, 10% of the extra Great People at Rebirth from this run will carry forward to the next run and are born after building the Easter Bunny in the new run

Patch Notes: 0.22.1

  • QoL: Add a player trade filter to show only resources that you have
  • QoL: Rotate game log files to prevent them from taking too much disk space
  • QoL: Add a button to cancel all upgrades of the same building type (@Vethon)

Patch 0.22: Player Trade Optimization

[h2]Player Trade[/h2]

Since Patch 0.21 (English Civ), There has been a lot more player trades than usual, which causes extra load on the server. To ensure the server can survive this, I have done lots of optimizations (both the server and the client) and decided to release this patch (0.22) ahead of schedule and move the planned content to 0.23

  • Optimize filling a player trade that is faster on the client and reduces server load
  • Add options to fill 50%/95% of a trade
  • The server has merged existing pending trades. So instead of thousands of trades, now you should have one trade per resource. The fill by column should show "System". This is a one time migration and might be done again later

  • East India Company provides 0.5 Production Multiplier per level (decreased from 1)


[h2]Floating Mode[/h2]

  • The brand new "floating mode" that allows you to minimize the game to a floating window on your desktop: you can work on other stuff and keep an eye on your empire! You can even turn festival on/off and adjust warp speed




[h2]Bugfix[/h2]

  • Fix a bug where the Poseidon misses Worker Capacity Multiplier
  • Fix a bug where wonders that are being upgraded (i.e. Matrioshka Brain) do not show up in Statistics Building

Patch 0.21: English Civ

[h3]Wonder[/h3]
  • Cambridge University: +1 Age Wisdom level for Renaissance and ages after
  • East India Company: This wonder accumulates the total value of your completed player trade transactions. For every 2,000 trade value, all buildings adjacent to caravansaries get a +1 Production Multiplier for 1 cycle. A trade transaction counts when you either fulfill another player's trade request or when your own trade request is fulfilled. Multiple boosts stack by extending the duration
  • British Museum: After constructed, can transform into to a unique wonder from other civilizations
  • Tower Bridge: After constructed, a great person from unlocked age is born every 3600 cycles (1h game time)

[h3]Natural Wonder[/h3]
  • Cerne Abbas Giant: A great person of the current age is born when a wonder is constructed

[h3]Unique Great People[/h3]
  • Thomas Gresham: +2 Production Multiplier, Storage Multiplier for Bond Market

[h3]Festival[/h3]
  • Guy Fawkes Night: East India Company provides +2 Production Multiplier to buildings adjacent to caravansaries. Tower Bridge generates great people 20% faster

[h3]Achievement[/h3]
  • Three Lions: Rebirth with at least 1 Extra Great Person when playing English (Reach 64M Empire Value when rebirth)

[h2]QoL[/h2]
  • Resource Bar has been revamped: it is more condensed and added features to change Warp Speed and Festival

[h2]Bugfix[/h2]
  • Fix a bug where wonders that can be upgraded will have a one tick black out when upgrade complete
  • Fix a bug where the chart in Statistics Building sometimes overflows the layout
  • Add an option to turn off "Trade Filled" sound effect
  • Make the layout of Statistics Office more condensed so that it can show more data on mobile
  • Fix a bug where sometimes cross-platform saves fails to download save from the cloud
