Companion Spotlight 1: The Knight and The Half Elf

[p]Greetings, Guildies![/p][p]In the world of Guild Saga, your journey is defined not just by the challenges you overcome, but by the companions who stand beside you. Today, we want to share a closer look at two of your very first allies, the Heroes Guild initiates who are there from the very beginning of your adventure.[/p][p]Your story begins in a world stirring with unease. Reports flow into the Heroes Guild from both the old continent and the new, speaking of strange sightings and an increase in monster attacks. Amidst this growing tension, a catalyst appears: a brilliant light is seen falling from the sky, crashing into the remote and mysterious Mystshade Isles. This volatile chain of islands lies just east of Respite, the last bastion of the declining kingdom of House Mazan in the new world.[/p][p]The Heroes Guild has chosen you, one of its most promising new initiates, to lead an expedition to investigate the fallen light and report your findings. On the surface, the task seems straightforward, an easy first mission for a burgeoning hero. But as you will soon discover, the simplest quests often unravel into the grandest sagas.[/p][p]You will not face this task alone. Two other initiates are assigned to accompany your party, with you as their leader. Let us introduce the first companions you will meet on your quest: the stalwart Luceit of House Dawnguard and the keen eyed Aska of the Forests of Myr.[/p][p][/p][p]Luceit of House Dawnguard[/p][p]Every quest needs a shield, a bastion of honor against the encroaching dark. Luceit is that shield.[/p][p]Born to the noble House Dawnguard, his path seemed set from birth: swordplay, statecraft, and the rigid discipline of a knight. He mastered them all, yet his true passion lay not in the training yard, but in forbidden texts studied by candlelight. While others saw power only in steel, Luceit learned to command the skies themselves, mastering the structured and volatile art of aeromancy.[/p][p]He carries himself with the formal gravity of a highborn son, but there is no arrogance in his heart. A bloody disgrace that befell his family in his youth now fuels his quiet resolve. Luceit joined the Heroes Guild not for glory or gold, but to restore honor to a tarnished name, driven by a genuine belief that true strength is meant to protect the weak. In battle, he is a bulwark, his sword and shield holding the line while the very air and lightning answer his call.[/p][p][/p][p]Aska of the Forests of Myr[/p][p][/p][p]Where some see strength in steel, others find it in the unwavering pulse of life itself. Aska is the heart of the party.[/p][p]Raised on the wild frontier in the Forests of Myr, her half elven blood gave her a unique connection to the world. She learned from her parents, both skilled healers, to listen to the whispers of the earth and to act with a gentle hand. The forest taught her that all creatures are kin and that true power lies not in wounding, but in mending.[/p][p]While she is a peerless archer, her greatest gift is the ancient magic that flows through her veins. This is the magic of life, a force she wields to soothe the afflicted, mend grievous wounds, and encourage nature to shield her allies from harm. She is kind to a fault, finding joy in the trust of an animal or the simple pleasure of a cold glass of honey lemonade. But do not mistake her gentle nature for weakness. Aska understands that to protect life, you must sometimes be prepared to fight for it, and she will not back down when those she cares for are threatened.[/p][p][/p][p]Coming soon: Update 0.6 [/p][p]With allies like Luceit and Aska at your side, you are ready to face whatever the world throws at you. They are just two of the numerous companions you can find and recruit on your journey across Respite, and with our next major content release, Update 0.6, two more will be ready to join your guild.[/p][p]We will have much more to share in the near future, but prepare for an update steeped in mystery and the importance of true companionship. For now, we will not spoil much, but know this, the broker of information, Usior was impressed by your conduct at the auction you attended, and he has extended a personal invitation. He requires not your sword, but your keen investigating mind, to attend a most intriguing dinner.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
