DEV LOG: THE BIGGEST UPDATE EVER

Phew, it's been over 6 months since the last v0.9 version update dev log! (Consistency is really challenging) Now it's a jump from v0.9 to v0.12 update. And as you can imagine, it is big.
We're incredibly excited to reopen the demo to introduce you to our new systems.
TUTORIAL IS FINALLY HERE
Finally, the tutorial stage is here. The most requested feature, right?
You can check it out by clicking the 'TUTORIAL' signpost in the main menu. Now, anyone new to the game can experience the tutorial and start playing!

For those who are already familiar with the game, I recommend you to give it a try... There's an opening scene explaining why zombies are emerging from the ground. (Spoiler alert: featuring the perfect combo, Mahana and Maka)
DECKBUILDING
In the version 0.9, we used to accumulate experience points (XP) to level up and upgrade characters, but now this has been transformed into a "card deck-building" element. You can set up to 15 cards for character upgrades, base upgrades, and magic cards from the main menu.

You can purchase cards using the "cores" you've collected through leveling up in the game. Using cards at the right time is important, but it's also crucial to decide which combination of cards to take with you from the beginning of the game!
LIFEHOLD AND ICEKEEP
In the version 0.9, there were two bases that needed to be protected; now one is Lifehold, which is related to your life, and the other is Icekeep, which is related to experience points (XP). If the Lifehold, where the penguins' food (sardine) is stored, is destroyed, the game ends. If the Icekeep, the ice storage, are destroyed, the opponent gains a large amount of XP.
ONE MORE?
Now it's enough to start playing the game. But if you want to really play the game in a truly hardcore manner, there's one more thing to know!
Double Turn: If one of your characters dies, you'll use one of the remaining characters again. However, the character doing the Double Turn will have both their attack power and movement distance reduced by one. If you couldn't protect your character, you'll have to accept this much. (Heh)
In addition, there are now purple tooltips available, so you can find more detailed information by hovering your mouse over each UI element.

Of course, feel free to ask devs on Discord if you have any questions!

Actually, there are many more backlog update logs, but I'll take the time to explain them in detail next time if I have the opportunity. I'll cover why certain systems were implemented and how to use them, etc.
SOUTH POLE BEBOP LEAGUE EVENT?
Recently, we held an in-house mini-league. Well...the victory went to the mighty game designer, but it was also a time for bug fixes, balancing adjustments, and discovering more about the game's fun factor. A fierce (literally) scene unfolded with a $50 prize at stake → https://x.com/southpolebebop/status/1766027174073840114?s=20

I'm eager to host league matches with players (please no more with devs.)
Anyone up for it?
The follow-up instructions will be primarily through Discord, so if you'd like to participate, join us on Discord!
Show off your skills in the new version of South Pole Bebop ✌️

Alright, alright, that's it for today.
Stay tuned for the next update dev log, coming in..who knows when. 🐧👋
