(small) Patch 1.11.1c - better crash diagnostics

If Tiny Glade runs well for you, keep enjoying it with your favorite pairing of pepparkaka / tomtegrΓΆt / glΓΆgg / julmust. If the game is giving you trouble however, read on!

We're having an influx of new players, so I'm also noticing a spike in crash reports. Most seem to be coming from external sources, so I've upgraded our crash reporter to detect those, and provide specific advice. Our nemesis, graphics crashes, have also appeared again. In order to help diagnose them, the patch now adds automatic logging of our internal rendering operations, and also links to a new troubleshooting section about those graphics issues. Hopefully this helps a few folks 🧑

Details:
  • Add "rendering workarounds" to "Vulkan extension settings"
  • Link to troubleshooting advice on "DEVICE_LOST" (GPU hang)
  • Improve reliability of graphics driver crash detection
  • Detect crashes due to a broken Vulkan subsystem (vulkan-1.dll)
  • Detect crashes (potentially) due to ASUS GPU Tweak III
  • Add logging of internal renderer operations

P.S. We always test our patches, but if you start having issues with the game, and you think it's due to our latest patch, we usually move the previous build to a Steam "beta". In this case, the previous build is available in the beta called "old-1_11_1a" (Right click Tiny Glade in your Steam Library β†’ Properties β†’ Betas β†’ Beta Participation).

Hi, everyone! This is just a small patch with a few fixes:

  • πŸ›πŸŒ³ Fix trees hovering above ground when grabbed from elevated terrain
  • πŸˆ‚ Add missing translations for the "Control Hints" sub-category in the settings menu
  • 🎨 Change settings menu overlay from green to white when in Winter glade during the day
  • πŸ”‰ Fix volume of placing lanterns & flags into water
  • πŸ”‰ Add a unique sound for placing arrow slits
  • πŸ”‰ Tweak water draw and erase sounds in Winter glade
  • πŸ”‰ Greatly reduce column sounds intensity to avoid the cacophony when they spawn and despawn in a quick succession
  • πŸ”‰ Tweak raise building sounds and moving half-timbered buildings
  • πŸ”‰ Fix water ambience being too strong dependent on where the camera is
  • πŸ”‰ Add ray-traced occlusion for water ambience and duck landing & takeoff SFX
  • πŸ”‰ Fix first person footstep sounds playing the water/path/garden when walking on structures
