Azzinoth, god of fire and destruction
Introduction
This is the first in a series of articles about the different gods you can play as in our game. We begin with Azzinoth, the Fire God. Focused on raw power and destruction, his strengths are obvious - he wields the best direct and indirect damage spells in the game. Each time you start a game as Azzinoth, you will have the following powers at your disposal:

Fireball is a cheap and versatile spell that scales well into the endgame and thus you will likely use it extensively throughout your playthrough. The Eternal Flame blessing can be upgraded to increase the amount of damage it does.
Build ideas
The burning dot that you get through the Eternal Flame blessing is only available to Azzinoth - you can base your whole build around it or ignore it and focus on raw power instead. Both ways are a viable way to play!
To give you an example, here are two spells that work particularly well with Eternal Flame:

You would use Molten Core to spread the fire dot to as many targets as you can and then cast Combustion and destroy them all!
Or you could replace Combustion with Fire Eater and consume the fire dots for extra mana - useful for expensive spells such as the Volcano or Sword Of Flame. With some luck, you will be able to add the Persistence ability to Fire Eater - which will cause it to not consume some of the fire dots, allowing you to regain mana while keeping the damage effect on your targets!
Conclusion
We are also preparing a few posts about the mechanics of the game:
