New Sintopia Demo is LIVE | TactiCon Highlights

[p]Administrators, [/p][p]A new Sintopia demo is live in association with Steam's TactiCon event — running through Monday next week![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The highlights below is a non-exhaustive list of new content you can experience in the demo. As always, feel free to share your feedback and impressions here in the Steam forums, or alternatively, you can join our Discord server. [/p][p][/p][p]Thank you for trying Sintopia! We are fast approaching our Early Access launch on September 4. [/p][p][/p][p] ❗Your save data resets with new demos - and will reset again when we launch into Early Access. [/p][p][/p]
Demo Highlights
[p][/p]
Translation
[p][/p][p]The game can now be played in French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified Chinese. Please note that only game texts are translated (not voices), and that translation is still a work in progress to this day. An overhaul pass will be made on translated texts before Early Access launch. [/p][p][/p]
Cultists
[p][/p][p]Humus witnessing Spells in the Overworld will have their Influence level increased. When Influence is high, they will periodically deposit Faithcoins Offerings near the Temple, and eventually become Cultists who can perform specific activities at night while the town sleeps. You will also find new objectives tied to Cultists, new passive effects in the Liber Administratum, and a new Hell Building to unlock which plays on Influence: the HIA Bureau. [/p][p][/p][carousel][/carousel]
Rest Room
[p][/p][p]To players who tried a previous demo, you’ll notice that the Break Room has disappeared, and has been replaced by a rundown Rest Room instead. An overhauled Break Room will come back later in production, as a higher quality building (more Imps slots, stronger break reduction, etc.). In the meantime, enjoy following Imps even when they’re on the toilet![/p][p][/p]
Twitch integration
[p][/p][p]You can now connect your game to Twitch in the settings. When streaming the game while connected, viewers in the chat will be able to type !join to have their names used as in-game names for Humus and Imployees. This is a first step towards plugging cool features into Twitch, we hope to add more in the future! [/p][p][/p]
Gameplay
[p][/p]
 • [p]A lot of gameplay changes / QoL have been added since the last demo. Some of these directly answer players feedback gathered from previous demos, and we are glad we could integrate them before Early Access launch! We won’t go into too much detail, you will find a lot more while playing, but here are some key changes: [/p]
 • [p]The Omnisin Doctor can’t treat Deviant Souls anymore, only specialist punishment buildings can. The second tutorial map introduces this change to players. With specialists being cheaper to unlock, we think this will help diversify gameplay and make these buildings truly useful. [/p]
 • [p]The Humus innate Sin vulnerability has been removed, and replaced with a global vulnerability given by the Ruler instead (depending on their personality). This creates waves of deviants of a single Sin, depending on the Ruler, so players can plan the use of specialists ahead of time (instead of the sheer randomness we had before). [/p]
 • [p]Poking Imps (shaking your mouse cursor on them) doesn’t increase Motivation anymore, but reduces their Break Time instead. This only has an effect when they are on break. This provides a fun tool to players who don’t like their Imps going on break at the worst time, while giving an opportunity window to the “Masochist” Imp trait. The second tutorial map now has a section about poking Imps.[/p]
 • [p]Guacamps are now shielded by antimagic fields, which prevent players from casting Spells inside. The fields are generated by totems present in the camps, which must be destroyed from afar (ex: casting Magmine outside the field) or by the Humus military. Destroying them is now an actual challenge! [/p]
 • [p]You can now hold left click on a Hell building to move it without using the move-tool. [/p]
 • [p]The Reaper Bus now onboards Souls in the Cemetery favouring the highest Soul Rot values first (instead of randomly). [/p]
 • [p]In Challenge Mode, Role Model boon slots must now be unlocked by spending Prestige Points (only one is unlocked by default). You can also use Prestige Points to reroll the available Mandates. [/p]
 • [p]Some sections of the Tutorials have been upgraded to be clearer, and to reduce the chances of players getting lost. [/p]
 • [p]The Secret Pond map has been remade with a new biome, for more visual variety. Guacas and Wargs now drown if staying in water for too long, just like Humus! Zhumbies and Sin Spawns are still purposely immune to drowning. [/p]
 • [p]Changed how Hell buildings call Souls forward: in case of clutter in front of the building, they will elect a Soul randomly within the first connected cell, instead of the entire road connected to it. This helps reduce cluttered roads where no Soul wanted to go first. [/p]
 • [p]Saints don’t give Faithcoins in Hellpet Shows anymore. They don’t give Purgadollars when getting out of the Reaper Bus either. They are completely useless in Hell now, as they are supposed to be! [/p][p][/p]
Your new mandate as Hell's administrator awaits!
[p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p][/p]
