Announcing ROGUEBOUND PIRATES

I am very excited to officially announce my next game:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3327000?utm_source=steam_mg2

Roguebound Pirates is an adventure roguelike with intense naval battles and deep ship customization. Plunder ships, search for lost treasures and create game-breaking builds to become the one true ruler of the seas.

Updated to 1.4.1

UPDATE 1.4.1
CHANGES
-Adjusted some texts to work for both mouse + keyboard and controllers.
-Some advanced options are now hidden based on if player is using a mouse + keyboard or a controller.
-Small navigational improvements for controller.
FIXES
-Fixed a minor controller bug where the hidden mouse cursor could sometimes highlight the map legend window regardless where the controller focus was.
-Fixed a navigation issue that could cause janky camera movement when using a controller after reaching a new tournament level.
-Fixed an issue where in Classic mode the character tooltips in shop could go partly outside of game window after loading the game if the player is using tooltip scaling.
-Fixed a controller issue where abandoning a run while in inventory could cause minor navigational issues.
-Fixed an issue where one game run could be abandoned infinite times with a controller.
-Fixed an issue where the pause menu could cause errors in some specific uncommon situations when using a controller.
-Removed some mouse/keyboard specific texts when using a controller.
-Fixed a bug where AI characters sometimes overly preferred destroying a barrel next to a summoned unit instead of directly attacking that summoned unit. This can still happen, but now it should happen less in situations where it obviously isn't a smart move.

Updated to 1.4.0: Controller support

UPDATE 1.4.0

NEW

-Full controller support added. The game is now fully playable from start to finish with only a controller and on Steam Deck the game is now also smoother to play. If you have any further improvement ideas or feedback for the controller support, let me know in the discussions or on Discord! (Note: If you are having any issues getting the controller to work properly, please first check the Controller settings in the game's Steam settings to make sure it says "Use default settings". On Steam Deck, make sure you are using the new default configuration).
-Added a movement preview arrow next to your current unit. This will be shown if you hover the mouse over a movement arrow or have the arrow selected with a gamepad. The preview arrow can be turned off in options.
-Added a slider in options to adjust controller sensitivity.
-Added a slider in options to adjust the size of combat log text.
-Steam Deck: Updated the default layout configuration to "Gamepad with Joystick Trackpad", which works great with the new controller support.
CHANGES
-Lower resolution screens (such as Steam Deck) will now by default have higher tooltip and combat log text sizes. These can still be adjusted in options though.
-Adjusted the size of different windows & texts to look better on smaller screens.
-Small navigation adjustments to better support controller navigation.
-Small UI adjustments.
BALANCING
I felt that with accessory slot items it was often too easy to go with limited number of powerful effects or items that give pure stats. So in this update I went through all the accessory items and buffed a lot of them that were situational or not as powerful as they should be. This should make the accessory choices more meaningful and increase build variety.

-Effects that gave a buff when unit was a victim of a knockback no longer activate if that unit is being pulled somewhere (instead of knocked back).

UPDATE 1.3.0
NEW
-New game mode: Classic. This game mode is intended to be very similar to the default game mode from Mortal Glory 1.
-New modifiers section. The old "Challenges" section has now been split into Modifiers and Challenges. There are many new settings to adjust there, such as the duration of the game, the difficulty of enemies and the amount of treasure you gain. The effects of some challenges have also been slightly adjusted. The Cautious Start option has now also been moved under this new section.
-Added character stats to comparison tooltip.
-Added 4k resolution.
CHANGES
-Renamed traditional game mode into "Adventure".
-Adjusted spawn points in some maps to be further from each other (mainly to prevent early clumping in boss fights).
-When equipping items with double click and all equipment slots are filled, the item will be equipped for the character that is currently shown in the comparison tooltip (if comparison tooltips are enabled in options). If all equipment slots are not filled, the first empty slot is still always chosen.
-Many technical and visual adjustments to support the release of the Reign of Tyrants DLC.
-Critical hits are now better highlighted in combat log.
-Higher quality characters are now slightly cheaper in shops.
-Demonic Talisman: Spawned specters 3 -> 4.
-Slightly nerfed Wight boss.
-Slightly lowered stats for all bosses on higher difficulties.
-Small adjustments to extra challenge balance.
-Localization adjustments.
-Small font localization adjustment.
FIXES
-Unequipping all items within the event that creates an enemy clone from your team will no longer unequip items from the clone.
-Fixed a bug that prevented few specific skills from being able to hit critically.
-Environmental wall tiles with moving or spreading can no longer move or spread on top of alive characters.
-Fixed a bug where comparison tooltip could show up in main menu (& comparing starting gear to gear from previous run).
-Fixed a bug where AI did not properly account for overkill damage. Now it realizes if damage is "wasted" by dealing overkill damage, as originally intended.
-The AI now knows it cannot knock out targets with Reject Death buff. Previously it only realized this with the Undying buff.
-The AI now knows it cannot remove unremovable buffs & debuffs with skill effects.
-Fixed a bug that gave unlimited charges to skills that summoned units could gain from the "one extra skill for summons" relic.
-Fixed a bug that prevented a second skeleton from spawning if a unit that had "Summon a skeleton on knockout" and "Double summons" effects knocked out an enemy.
-Fixed a bug related to skills that cause a knockback twice, where the second knockback could cause the unit to collide with itself.
-Comparison tooltip will now show the right color for the character.
-Fixed a localization bug where a duplicate race warning in shop didn't show up with all languages.

New game mode revealed!

The upcoming Reign of Tyrants DLC will be released next week alongside a new major 1.3.0 update to the game. The highlight of this update is a new game mode that replicates the classic game mode from Mortal Glory 1. I know a lot of players enjoyed that game mode in the prequel so I suspect it will be a very welcome addition to Mortal Glory 2 also. Better yet, this game mode will be included in the base edition of the game, so it will not require the DLC.

The 1.3.0 update will also contain other new features, such as an expanded modifiers section, that will let you further customize different aspects of the game, like the duration of runs, and tailor the gameplay more to your own playstyle.

Combined with the extra content and a completely new game mode from the DLC (so that's 2 new game modes in total!), there will be a lot more Mortal Glory for you to experience on 7th of August!
