Damned 2 Update - 0.5.2006

Hi Everyone!

We're rolling out a new update today, addressing issues reported during the last playtest and introducing a brand-new puzzle! Let us know what you think.

Just a reminder: this update is currently available only to select Discord members with access to our internal build.

Our next focus is on player feedback and suggestions to enhance the experience for new players, refine difficulty balancing, and improve tutorials. During this time, we’re also working on releasing the next two survivors and a new monster. However, we can’t promise a release date for the monster just yet.

  • Added new puzzle: Radio Frequency.
Gameplay
  • When a survivor is downed, a particle effect now marks the location to make it easier to find and revive them.
  • The survivor’s camera no longer follows their body after being downed, preventing issues where they could get stuck.
  • Prism Rotator now moves slower to improve precision.
  • AI-controlled monsters now open doors faster on Normal, Hard, and Damnation difficulties.
  • Some puzzle items are no longer droppable.
Sound
  • Reduced the volume of certain possessable objects.
Interface
  • The chat window now closes when pressing
  • *ESC** or clicking outside the text box.
  • Added in-game feedback when a survivor dies.
  • Player Leave Messages now displays the player name.
  • Added information indicating that Missing Warehouse does not have a Final Puzzle.
Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where the rotating part of the Prism Puzzle was invisible to survivors.
  • Likely fixed puzzle rotation not loading at the start of a game.
  • Fixed Luca’s ghost being able to see his inner meshes.
  • Fixed the "Not Full" filter in Lobby Search not showing any lobbies.
  • Fixed monster AI not starting correctly in Warehouse.
  • Fixed alarm clock sound not playing correctly.
  • Corrected Warehouse door name from "1th Door" to "1st Door".
  • Possible fix for metal door lights staying on after a game.
  • Fixed new survivors not leaving footprints.
  • Fixed a blank item appearing in a survivor’s inventory after a prism was destroyed.
  • Fixed Lurker’s music attenuation not working properly.
  • Fixed some puzzles interfering with AI pathfinding.
  • Adjusted AI pathfinding for certain room corners in Black Lake Facility.
  • Fixed a bug where players briefly appeared as Host when joining a game.
  • Possible fix for characters not being available when a player leaves the game.
  • Fixed floating items after being added to a puzzle.
  • Fixed "No Random Puzzles" still appearing in some presets.
  • Fixed monsters seeing items being added to puzzles.
  • Fixed invalid items appearing in player inventories.
  • Fixed a mannequin overlapping a shelf.
  • Fixed monsters colliding with certain puzzles.
  • Fixed server desync, where clients didn’t appear to move their cameras up and down.
  • Fixed an issue with the Laser Puzzle when a survivor connected mid-game.
  • Fixed monsters hearing ghosts.
  • Fixed voice chat not working when returning to the lobby.
  • Fixed monsters not hearing survivor death sounds.
  • Fixed the player count not updating correctly in-game.
