A message from the team
[p]Hi everyone.[/p][p]This is one of the hardest messages we’ve had to write.[/p][p]
Over the past few months - and especially during the Early Access launch - we’ve shared our excitement about building GLUM into a full, expansive experience, and encouraged you to support us through Early Access. Many of you did just that, offering not just your money, but your time, feedback, and belief in the game’s future. We’re incredibly grateful for this.[/p][p]
Unfortunately, we’ve made the difficult decision to freeze active development on GLUM, effective immediately.[/p][p]
This is not the outcome we hoped for, nor the one we promised. Despite our best efforts, GLUM didn’t reach the level of sales we needed to sustain continued development. As a small studio, that means we simply don’t have the resources to finish the roadmap as planned.[/p][p]
Honestly, we do not know if GLUM will ever get the updates, we think it deserves, as we have shifted all our resources to another project to have a better chance of ensuring the future of CinderCat Games. [/p][p]
We know this is a serious breach of trust, and for that, we are deeply sorry. You supported GLUM early and enthusiastically, and it hurts us to not be able to follow through.[/p][p]
We know this may not be enough. There’s no way to sugarcoat the situation, but we hope our honesty and transparency matter, at least a little.[/p][p]
We’re grateful to everyone who took a chance on GLUM. Thank you for being part of its journey, even if it was shorter than we all hoped. [/p][p]
However, this does not mean the end for us as a studio. We love this community and therefore we want to involve you - as soon possible - in the new stuff we are working on (which is also packed with humor and charm). We will try our best to continue with transparency and joyful conversations, that so far have enjoyed immensely from you guys.[/p][p]
Much love, [/p][p]Sebastian, CEO of CinderCat Games[/p]
