Overlooked climbing simulation game Peaks of Yore drops new mountainous DLC
Climbing in videogames tends to occur in one of two ways. You either hold down a button and run at a cliff face like in Horizon Zero Dawn, Tomb Raider, or Assassin's Creed, or you get far more in-depth like in GIRP or Jusant. Peaks of Yore falls into the latter category, being a physics-full recreation of what it was like to scale mountains in the 19th century. Already a hit with a 98% rating on Steam, it's been expanded with some new DLC focused on the Alps.
