Isles of Hope: Discover the Last Human Settlements

Hello Explorers,
Today, we will talk about people and their struggles in the world of Urthia, who survive against all odds. These are the last human survivors—farmers and settlers who lived on the kingdom’s edges before Maester’s experiments turned people into skeletons. They live alone on floating islands, far from the capital, safe from the undead plague. They grow their own food and can’t leave their tiny sky-worlds.

When exploring the world of Everwind, you’ll find three types of villages:
Thriving Towns
Fancy buildings, a town hall, taverns and decorated homes. Here you’ll meet the best merchants, blacksmiths and craftsmen. They’ll trade rare items with you and can repair or upgrade your weapons.
Frontier Hamlets
Simple wooden houses and farms. You’ll find farmers and a few specialists—a jeweler, a tailor, an herbalist—all ready to trade.
Ruined Outposts
Broken buildings and old notes tell of past wars. Only a few lonely survivors live here, having seen no one else for years.

Every building has its own interior, and winding paths connect homes and shops. There are nine kinds of NPC traders: general merchant, innkeeper, jeweler, blacksmith, armorer, herbalist, tailor, carpenter and fletcher. They let you sell loot and buy special gear. Additionally, they enable unique services - for example, a blacksmith can also repair and upgrade your equipment, and what’s more, interacting with these people is the only way to obtain unique building blocks and furniture.

Some villages have armored guards who will attack you if you steal or kill. So think twice before looting a town! What’s more, we are still thinking of other ways to make sure that the player will not be able to get away with mischief. Prepare to be surprised.

The swallow is the enduring emblem of these people—once a sign of freedom and peace, it was defiled by the skeletal hordes who chipped away at its shape. Now its restored silhouette marks every human stronghold. You, a bold outsider who has mastered steamer-tech and can traverse the skies, are viewed as a destined hero—both a curiosity and a savior to the islanders who revere your skills. Will you help them reclaim their world… or forge your own legend amid the clouds?

This content is a part of our “NPC Settlements” stretch goal. We are very grateful for all the support so far. There are still 7 days to reach it, so let’s bring it home together!
