[p]Premiered at the Future Games Show Spring Showcase spotlighting the return of couch-coop 'Movie Night' mode, check out our brand-new trailer here:[/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p]
Don’t Play Alone, Survive Together
[p]Alongside the single-player experience, Directive 8020 can also be played with up to five friends in local multiplayer in the returning Movie Night mode. Choose which member(s) of the Cassiopeia crew to control and pass a single controller between each other as the story unfolds. It’s up to you and your friends who lives and who dies in this mission to save humanity.[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p]Every choice matters, every mistake can be fatal, so work together with your friends to survive alien infiltrators, deadly dilemmas, and catastrophic system failures! But remember, trust no one - not even your friends![/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p]Directive 8020 will also support five-player online multiplayer in a free post-launch update, mirroring the couch co-op experience and bringing it online, with more information coming soon.[/p][p][/p]
Second Chances, Shared
[p]For the first time in The Dark Pictures, Directive 8020 introduces Turning Points, a new feature that lets players revisit pivotal decisions through a visual branching story tree, giving greater control over how the story unfolds. Major choices and outcomes are mapped as the story progresses, giving players a clear view of how their decisions have shaped the narrative. If a critical moment results in a death, a fractured alliance, or a regrettable outcome, players can return to a key turning point to change their fate![/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p]In Movie Night mode, Turning Points adds an extra layer of social tension and excitement. If a favourite character dies, players can collectively debate over whether to accept the consequence… or rewind and attempt to save them, ensuring no two group playthroughs are ever the same! For groups who want to live and die by their choices, Survival Mode locks in every consequence, where all decisions are final.[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p]However you choose to play, the mission begins on 12th May with single-player and offline couch co-op - with online multiplayer arriving post-launch.[/p][p][/p]
Wishlist now, Steam Pre-Orders coming soon!
[p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]For more information, visit the Directive 8020 website or join the conversation on our socials.[/p]
