Development Log 10

Welcome to the 10th development log!

It's been a "long road" to get here and I'm glad you guys are interested enough to read these, but let's jump straight to what I have done past month!

Development Progress Update:

1. [Bot Improvements]: Last dev log I mentioned bot improvements. I have been reworking the whole movement, look at and detection system, but it's far from ready. I'll keep you updated on that.

2. [Team Selection Screen]: I have reworked Team Selection for all the maps.

3. [Bomb Rework]: I have started reworking bomb mode. Working on it from time to time, because my main focus is to get the bot rework done.

4. [Performance improvements]: I have been improving performance every now and then.

Upcoming Features and Content:

1. [Overhauled Recoil system]: This new system will be much better compared to the system I currently have.

2. [Headshot Sound]: This was in the last post, but I wanted to include it here aswell :)

Future Roadmap:

Here's the same roadmap from the last dev log. Nothing new yet..

1. [Playtest 5]: Next major milestone will be Playtest 5, where I'll gather even more feedback and fine-tune the game based on your input.

2. [Proximity Chat?]: This I'm not sure of yet, but I have been thinking about adding Voice Chat to allow players talk to their own teammates.

Development Log 9

Hello and welcome to the 9th development log.
This is a complete new style I'm trying.

Development Progress Update:

I'm pleased to let you know about some of the progress I have made!

1. [Molotov Damage Rework]: I have reworked the Molotov's damage mechanics so now the longer a player stays inside the Molotov, the more damage they take.

2. [Grenade Damage Radius]: I have reduced the radius based on feedback to ensure more balanced gameplay.

3. [Bot Improvements]: Bots have received significant improvements. They are now able to take damage from Grenades and Molotovs and better navigation on City map for better gameplay experience.

4. [Maps]: I have been working on enhancing visual appeal of various maps by improving lighting and textures.

5. [Gun Game]: Now the UI shows the next weapon you are going to get.

6. [Grenade & Molotov Sounds]: Modified how far away/how close you can hear a Grenade explosion and Molotov fire.

Upcoming Features and Content:

Here's a sneak peek at what's to come:

1. [Headshot Sound]: Soon, when players land a headshot, a distinct sound will accompany it, adding to the satisfaction of precise shooting.

2. [Team Selection Screen]: I have decided to completely rework the team selection screen to look way nicer.

3. [Bot Improvements]: To make bots feel more "realistic", they should be able to switch to secondary when no ammo is left or to throw grenade/molotov.

Future Roadmap:

Development Status Update

Hello! As you might have noticed, I haven't been active for almost a month now.
I'm taking a little break, but Project Zero will be in full swing after. The break will just be till the 2nd of August.

Just wanted to make this update to let you all know I haven't stopped the development.

Playtest 4 for Project Zero is over. Thanks everyone who participated!

Thanks to you, I have been able to find several game breaking issues. Going forward, my focus is to get many features done for another playtest, possibly.

I'll keep you all posted on what's coming.

Development Log 8

Hello! I forgot to do an development log last friday so I'm doing this now.

I released "Practice With Bots" 3 days ago which was supposed to come much earlier. I had to cut some corners to get it "done" before the playtest ends. There is many features that are coming for the bots.

I'm going to be using the next month working on a lot of stuff, for example the bots like I mentioned, re-working atleast 3 weapons, starting re-work of bomb, overall performance optimizing, etc.

I'll post about new stuff soon. Stay tuned!
