Development Log 7

Hello! I started the current Playtest on 31st last month and I said it will end on 11th this month, but I have decided to make it longer by another 2 weeks.

The reason for it is that I'm close to releasing "Practice With Bots". I will post about it soon.

Playtest has been going super well in my opinion. Have been finding more and more stuff that just doesn't work and fixing them.

If you are interested on trying Project Zero now or later when Practice With Bots comes out, go request access or wishlist and follow!

Playtest 4

In the last post I briefly talked about the next milestone being Playtest 4, so the time has come.

Playtest will start on May 31st till June 25th. But what has changed?

[h2]ADDED[/h2]
  • Implemented a small notification dot to Lobby Chat to indicate new messages.
  • Added Hitmark trigger when someone takes damage from your molotov/grenade.


[h2]BUG FIXES[/h2]
  • Fixed the issue where Lobby Chat was displaying numbers as user nicknames.
  • Resolved the problem that prevented users from sending messages in Room Chat.
  • Corrected sniper accuracy while in air and scoping.
  • Fixed a game-breaking bug related to Free-for-All (FFA) and Gun Game.
  • Fixed a critical bug related to Team Switching, which caused the game to crash.
  • Fixed the issue where Room Chat was not showing up when a new message was received.
  • Resolved a problem with Notifications in FFA and Gun Game.
  • Addressed various other bugs and stability issues.


[h2]IMPROVEMENTS[/h2]
  • Made enhancements to all Game Mode codebases to perform better.
  • Improved networking for smoother and more reliable online gameplay experience.
  • Improved overall performance of the game for better responsiveness and smoother gameplay.


[h2]REMOVED[/h2]
  • Removed BOMB Game Mode temporarily to allow for a complete overhaul.


[h2]WEAPON UPDATES[/h2]
  • Finalized AK-47 and UMP-45 animations.

Development Log 6

Hi!

Couple weeks back I did a playtest which somewhat helped me on finding bugs, etc.

I have been mainly fixing those bugs, finding/fixing memory leaks & optimizing my network system.

I started working on new AK-47 animations and UMP-45.



My plan is to use this current networking system to get Project Zero out in Early Access and switch when the time is right. The reason why I'm going to switch is because the networking solution is old and not up to date.

Next milestone is Playtest 4, but I'll post about it soon.

There is a lot to come.

Playtest 3

Hello!
Playtest 3 is now available to play. If you don't have access, request it on Project Zero steam page.
I'll accept everyone as soon as I can.

There are "many" things that has been changed compared to previous playtest.

- New create room UI.
- New player model (which is not final) and it replaced all the old ones.
- Kill Feed UI changes.
- Few new footstep sounds.
- Recoil/spray overhaul.
- New Desert Eagle, AWP, Glock-18 models/animations.
- Some player HUD changes.
- Added console (work in-progress).
- Inventory Remake (not fully done).
- New sound system.
- Better grenade sync and more.

There will most likely be things that are not supposed to be public yet/things that do not work.

Development Log 5

Hello!

This week I have been fixing bugs and working a bit more on the bot support. I'm currently doing as much as I can to make the next playtest playable.

Before when flag was taken or captured, it showed an notification in the kill feed. Now it looks like this




I also added an notification for Gun Game & FFA who is currently winning



The next playtest will be on 24th and will end 30th this month. This is just like any other playtest I have done to get feedback on things, test stuff out, etc.
