Project Zero's Weapon Skins

Hello.

I wanted to make this post to glarify some things about the Weapon Skins and Lootboxes.

All Weapon Skins that are unboxed from Lootboxes will be sellable and tradeable.

Lootboxes in the future will be purchasable with the in-game coins so you don't have to use your Steam Balance to get skins for yourself. These Weapon Skins cannot be sold or traded away..

If you sell or trade away a Weapon Skin you currently have equipped, that slot will be resetted and will not show the Weapon Skin anymore.

Bought Lootboxes will be shown in inventory and can be opened from there. Same goes with Coins if you decide to buy any.

Once a Lootbox or Coin Pack is opened, it will be removed from your inventory.

If you have any further questions about Weapon Skins, please ask on our Discord server or on Steam Discussions.

Project Zero's first big update and the future

Hello everyone!

I wanted to take a moment to share what's currently being worked on and what you can expect in the near future for Project Zero.

First of all, thank you to everyone who has tried out Project Zero and shown interest in its development. Your feedback and support are invaluable as we continue to improve the game.

Now, let’s dive into what’s coming in the next big update Version 1.1.0:

Elimination Game Mode:
Originally planned for the Early Access release, this mode wasn’t quite ready at launch. However, it will be fully playable in this update, so get ready for some intense elimination rounds!

Bomb Game Mode Enhancements:
We’re introducing a buy system that will allow players to purchase the weapons they want to use each round.
To support this, a new money system will reward players at the end of each round. More details on this will be shared later.

Additionally, we’re adding flashbang and smoke grenades to enhance your tactical options in this mode.

Interactive Tutorial:
We’re replacing the old 'New User Introduction' with an interactive tutorial. In it, you’ll learn the basics of movement and shooting to help you get started on the right foot.

Proximity Chat:
To enhance team communication, Proximity Chat will be enabled in Bomb and Elimination modes, making coordination with teammates more dynamic and realistic.

Game Economy Update:
We’ll be testing new values for how coins are earned. Players will earn more coins based on their experience (EXP), which should make progression more rewarding.

I’ll post the full patch notes once it's time to release it.

Looking Ahead:

Please note that some of these plans may change in the future

Events:
If all goes well, I will have in-game events designed to increase player engagement and add more excitement to the game. Something I had in mind was an EXP event where players get double or triple the normal amount.

Prestige System:
Once you hit level 100, you’ll be able to prestige. This system will display your prestige level on the scoreboard and in the main menu.
With each prestige, you’ll unlock exclusive prestige-only weapon skins and earn coins as rewards.

Networking & Matchmaking Overhaul:
I’ve been considering a switch to a new networking solution for some time now, though this will require significant rewriting of the game’s core systems.

However, the effort will be worth it as it will greatly improve the quality of gameplay. Along with the networking change, I have planned to introduce a matchmaking system that assigns ranks, ensuring you’ll be matched with players of similar skill levels for a more balanced experience.

To see what is being worked on, go check out Project Zero's Roadmap!

That’s all for now! I’ll keep you updated as we get closer to these exciting changes.

Thank you, and have a great day!
