Livestock - Update 0.0.9
Hello there, Cozy Keepers!
It’s been a while since the last update, so let’s dive straight into what’s new!
[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
A New NPC – The Rancher
The Rancher is your new friendly neighbor who lives really close to your shop. You’ll be able to visit him to buy animals, animal products, and automations.
Livestock and Animal Husbandry
One of the most requested features in the game was the ability to raise your own animals near your shop—so you no longer have to depend on the wild animals in the Valley. Raising your own animals (chickens, cows, sheep, and pigs) allows you to build a steady stock of certain products (eggs, wool, milk, feathers, etc.).
Animal Enclosures
Before getting your new friends, you’ll need to build enclosures. To do so, interact with the Enclosure Signs located around the Farming Land.

You can build up to 8 enclosures, which will cost some materials and coins.
There are 3 types of enclosures:
Each enclosure has food and water containers that you’ll need to keep filled.
By interacting with an enclosure, you can view your animals and their stats. You’ll also be able to sell or sacrifice animals from here.
You can destroy or change the type of an enclosure at any time—but only if it’s empty.
Enclosures have limited space, depending on the type of animal they house.
Getting Animals
To get animals, buy them from The Rancher. You’ll be able to purchase both baby and adult animals, depending on your budget and patience.
Baby animals will take a few days to grow into adults before they start producing products.
Taking Care of Your Animals
Owning animals comes with some responsibility.
Each day, you’ll need to:
A stronger bond means happier animals—and happy animals produce more!
Animals eat wheat, grains, and corn, and drink water.
Automation
Managing the shop, farming, exploring, and gathering resources can be exhausting. If you have lots of animals, automation can help speed up certain tasks.
The Silo
You’ll be able to rebuild the Silo, a large structure that stores water and food for your animals. Interact with the Silo’s lever to distribute food and water to all enclosures at once.
The system is super efficient—no resources are wasted, saving you a ton over time!
Enclosure Automations
Visit The Rancher’s Automation Shop to buy:
Animal Production
Make sure you pet your animals and don't forget to give them food and water before going to sleep!
You’ll be able to collect products from your animals every day after you wake up.
Animal Breeding
A super happy animal may breed overnight if there’s enough space in the enclosure.
Animal Safety
Your animals can't starve to death or get stolen. Not feeding them results in a bad mood and 0 production.
Thieves and Thievery
Many players shared that thieves can be very frustrating—especially when they appear often despite high safety levels.
So here’s what’s changing:
Also, for those who prefer a peaceful experience:
You can now permanently disable thieves in the Settings → Gameplay menu. It’s totally up to you.
Changelog

Resolution Fix
An issue was reported with 4K resolutions not displaying properly.
A fix has been applied in this update—you should now see all supported resolutions for your monitor. If the problem persists, I’ll patch it again right away.
Sorry for the trouble! My current monitor is only 1080p, so I couldn’t test it myself.
Final Words
The past two weeks have been incredible. There was an amazing influx of players, feedback, and support!
I can’t express how grateful I am. I promise to do everything I can to make Cozy Keep the best it can be.
Thank you, everyone!
