A year ago, on March 28, 2024, Omega Crafter launched as a game combining automation through programming and survival crafting. While the development team believed in this unique concept, we also wondered how players would receive it.

However, after launch, we were amazed by the creative works shared by players—some perfected automation, while others programmed adorable behaviors for Grammi. Many unexpected and inventive ways to play emerged.

Seeing your shared works, gameplay videos, and player interactions inspired by Omega Crafter has been incredibly encouraging for our team.

We’ve also been continuously improving the survival crafting experience to make it even more engaging.

  • Fixed a bug where the terms of use for the trial version were displayed in some languages.
  • Fixed a bug where building Road tiles in biomes other than the "Meadows of New Beginnings" would reference incorrect textures.

[h2]Balance Adjustments[/h2]
  • Increased the display time for some of the message UI.
  • Adjusted the collision detection of walls in the "Horror Forest Archive."
  • Made it so that the range within which buildings can be placed is displayed in relocation mode.
  • The contents of containers and crafting targets are also shown when you open the city map.


[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Fixed a bug where some items were not displayed correctly in the key configuration.
  • Fixed a bug where players would occasionally be moved to a distant location after getting off a boat.
  • Fixed a bug where the equipment type and icon were not displayed correctly in the glider's item details.
  • Fixed a bug where graphics would not render properly in certain Mac environments. As a result, the option "Optimize Item Effect Rendering" has been removed from Settings > Others on Mac.
  • Fixed a bug where ATK was displayed on the wooden fishing rod.
  • Fixed an issue where help categories were not properly organized.
  • Fixed a bug where some help item titles were not displaying.
  • Removed duplicated analyzable items placed on the field.
  • Fixed the wording in the descriptions of some items.

Sandbox game Omega Crafter adds new biome in expansive free update

Take the city building and automation aspects of Satisfactory and Factorio, then combine them with the open-world exploration and boss battles of survival games like Valheim and Once Human, and wrap it all in a delightfully cozy package, and you have Omega Crafter. Launching into Steam Early Access in March 2024, the open-world sandbox game blends survival crafting and city building with a cast of programmable Gummi companions, and it just got even beefier with the launch of a new samurai-themed update.
