The Karters 2: Turbo Charged News

To celebrate #SteamNextFest, we're thrilled to announce our very first Speedrunning Contest with a $350 prize pool! (LiveSplit supported!)



[h2]How to participate:[/h2]
1. Download the demo available during SteamNextFest
2. Download the LiveSplit software.
3. Run LiveSplit -> Right-click on time -> Edit Splits -> Write the complete name "The Karters 2: Turbo Charged" in the Game Name field.
4. The Activate button should appear! Activate to enable The Karters 2 Live Split support (the time will run only during races).
5. Press OK. and close the Edit Splits window.
6. Right-click on LiveSplit -> Choose Compare Against -> Choose "Game Time" (this ensures the time is counted only during races).
7. Run the game and start the 1st challenge! After the countdown, the LiveSplit timer should start, and it should stop during Pause/Game Loading.

[h2]Rules:[/h2]
1. The contest is about completing all 20 in-game challenges in the shortest time.
2. Runs are recommended to be streamed live (on Twitch/Youtube). LiveSplit is required. If you can't stream, upload the video to youtube.
3. Post your run and time on our discord speedrun contest channel (create a thread: discord.gg/TheKarters).
4. Share your run on your Twitter account, tag @TheKarters2 (without space), and use the #speedrunTK2 hashtag.
5. The contest starts right now and ends with Steam Next Fest on June 26 at 10:00 AM PDT (UTC-7).
6. We hope you'll give it a go and have a ton of fun! Share this contest with your fellow speedrunning friends!

The Beta Phase 2 has just wrapped up!

We want to give a big shout-out to all of you for your awesome dedication and thorough testing of the game. We seriously appreciate all the feedback you provided, and we're super committed to implementing your suggestions to make the game even better!

As Steam Next Fest is just around the corner (June 19th!), we're gearing up to fix all the bugs you mentioned during the beta and bring in some sweet improvements. We've got Sebastian on the case, adding some interesting new modes to spice up the duels!

But here's the best part: before the Steam Next Fest kicks off, we want to do some quick, one-day beta tests to fine-tune these improvements. So, get ready for an additional 24-hour of beta testing starting on June 11th 4 pm CET.

We're counting on you to join us for this awesome ride once again!
Last but certainly not least, a big congratulations to all the competitors on the leaderboards! It's time to showcase the outstanding results from the exhilarating competition during the 2nd phase!

Following the conclusion of Beta Phase One, we immediately set to work, diligently incorporating all the valuable feedback and suggestions you provided. For the detailed overview of the tasks we tackled during this time, we encourage you to join our Discord channel and explore our weekly Devlogs - they make for some truly captivating reading! ;-)

[h2]Beta Phase Two[/h2]
Additionally, we were focused to bring the new functionality to the Beta Phase Two - introducing the Duels. We've added a new feature called 1v1 Duels to increase the competition in the Demo. You'll be able to challenge any of your friends to a Time-Trial ghost race, and it's super easy and fun to play!
We genuinely hope you'll have an absolute blast exploring it!

Without further ado, mark your calendars for June 2nd, when the eagerly awaited Beta Phase Two will make its grand entrance! This phase will run for at least three days, but it's possible we may extend it further to ensure we gather as much invaluable feedback as possible.

Edit : Beta Phase 2 will launch a day later, on June 3rd. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Here's some more exciting news for you - we are thrilled to officially announce that The Karters 2: Turbo Charged will be participating in Steam Next Fest, kicking off on June 19th!. The Demo will be available till June 26th. Be sure to mark that date and challenge newcomers on the completely fresh Leaderboards!

Please kindly note that streaming during the beta tests is not permitted, as our primary focus during this phase is to refine and address any lingering bugs.
However, the embargo will be lifted on June 19th, 10AM PDT, coinciding with the start of Steam Next Fest. At that point, you'll be more than welcome to freely stream and post videos!
