We’ve got some exciting stuff to share in today’s update - new team members, fresh features, and a bunch of improvements across the board!

Let’s kick off with a warm welcome and some exciting news for the community and the game: we’ve got four amazing new full-time team members!

First up, welcome Jeremi & Jakub – two programmers who’ve joined to help push the game forward faster than ever.
That means Sboczek is no longer coding solo, and he’s super happy to have their support!

[h3]Kami - Marketing & Community Manager[/h3]
Next, let’s give a huge shoutout to Kami, who joined us full-time as Community & Marketing Manager last week!
He’s been with us for a while already - creating all the awesome videos you’ve seen, including the epic launch trailer and the live reaction video at the end of this update 🎬

Kami is also the heart of our Discord community, where he’s always connecting with players, collecting feedback, and keeping the good vibes going.

[h3]Matt - 2D Artist[/h3]
And finally, we’re thrilled to welcome Matt, who’s joining the team part-time as a 2D Artist!
His story is especially awesome - he started out as a super active community member, and now he’s officially part of the dev team. We’re so happy to have him on board!

[h3]New Programmers - What Are They Working On?[/h3]
This collaboration is already going great - and two of the new features in this update were actually created by them:
  • Jeremi worked on the in-game center boost bars , Amazing UI Design is made by Matt!
  • Jakub handled the new in-game Photo Mode and Main Menu Photo Browser v1

[h2]Center Boost Bars[/h2]
New center boost bars are in! There are 4 different styles, and each comes in both long and short versions.
You can also tweak the X position and scale to your liking!

[h2]In-Game Photo Mode + Gallery[/h2]
You’ve asked for it, and now it’s here: You can now take photos during gameplay - no need to go into replay mode anymore!

But we didn’t stop there...
The old Replay Viewer button has been replaced by a new Gallery button.
From there, you can:
  • View replays like before
  • Browse all your epic screenshots taken in Photo Mode (v1)

We’ll keep improving the gallery UI and fix any issues as we go.

[h2]Grand Prix - Track Order Selection[/h2]
Now you can choose the exact track order in Grand Prix mode!
Just click a track to add it to the cup, and click again to remove it.

➡️ You don’t need to select every track - if you choose, say, 8 tracks in a 16-race cup and hit Done, the remaining ones will be filled in randomly.

[h2]Other Fixes & Tweaks[/h2]

  • Scuba Driving - The stones that allowed for the jump have been replaced with a box — making the jump more reliable.
  • Beach Blast - Navigation pathing has been updated, so Tank item usage and respawning should now work as expected.
  • Track Of The Day Colors- Cup colors for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in Track of the Day now display correctly!


[h2]Known Issues[/h2]
  • 🐛 UI element partially covers Photo Mode toggle in Time Trial.
  • 🐛 Photos taken without enabling ultrawide aspect stretch the 16:9 preview in Gallery.
  • 🐛 Incorrect track names in Gallery previews.
  • 🐛 Cannot disable AI in a Time Trial Grand Prix.

Update v1.0.2.5 - 80 SP Challenges, ELO Revamp & 1st Achievement!

Hey!

I’m excited to announce that the latest update is live!
This release brings 80 brand-new challenges spread across every racetrack and game mode, replacing 20 older ones with fresh, more exciting goals to test your skills.


🚀improved ELO Scoring
  • The ELO system now takes rank differences into account more heavily.
  • High-ranked players racing against lower ranks will need top positions to gain points -no more easy climbs just for being in the top 4!
  • Because of this change, ELO scores were clamped to 5000 (instead of reset completely). If you had 8000 before, it’s now 5000 - for a fair start for the new system!
🔥 80 New Challenges
  • Spread across all race tracks and game modes!
  • 20 old challenges have been replaced to keep things fresh.
🏆 First Steam Achievement!
  • Karting Legend Trophy - “Platinum” style achievement for beating all challenges, and one of the hardest to earn!
  • More achievements are coming soon, so stay tuned.
🎮 Keybind Customization
  • You can now rebind the key that shows the player list during gameplay.


Note: This update is required for online play. Players on older versions will not be able to join rooms with the latest version.

  • Fixed challenges not being marked as complete after finishing.
  • Fixed issue when selected challenge was different from the one that was selected
  • Fixed issues with Cups in Challenges.
  • Challenge text fix from “Finish Race” to "Finish" in challenge info to support Battle Arenas.
Gameplay Fixes & Tweaks
  • Quick Cut Difficulty Fix– difficulty settings now correctly affect Quick Cut mode.
  • Battle Modes – all players now have
  • *1 HP** for a more intense experience.
  • Teleport Dash – removed from Battle Arena for better balance.
  • Tank & Shield Power-ups – duration reduced from 30s to 20s.


Patch v1.0.0.2.4 - New ELO Scoring & ELO Reset | 3 Tracks Fixed with Lead. Reset

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the lack of updates over the past two weeks - I was away for a few days, but I’m back now, so you can expect regular updates again!

🏆 Major Update: New ELO Scoring System

I have created the new ELO scoring system to make ranked play fairer, more competitive, and more rewarding for both new and experienced players.

Key changes:
  • Zero-sum foundation – Points are now gained by taking them from others. However, due to safeguards, the total won’t always add up to zero.
  • Beginner-friendly protection - Low ELO players lose fewer points. For example, at 1500 ELO you’ll only take 10% of the normal loss (-50 becomes -5). This protection phases out by 4000 ELO.
  • High-rank balancing - Above 6000 ELO, gains are slightly reduced. The absolute max achievable ELO should be around 8000–9000.
  • Healthier distribution - Keeps rankings between ~1500–8000, while ensuring that the top 4 in a match generally gain points and the bottom 4 lose them.

  • ELO rankings have been reset due to the new scoring system.
  • You’ll need to update your game to match with others on the latest Steam version.

Congrats to everyone who reached the top before the reset - I can’t wait to see how the new system shakes things up!



Note: With the smaller player base right now, match ELO ranges will be wide, but that will improve over time.


Track Fixes & Leaderboard Resets

  • Scuba Driving – Added a collider to the rock before the shell.
  • Pablo’s Jungle Jam – Fixed shortcut gate colliders so teleport dash works correctly.
[h2]📌Important: Leaderboard Resets + Fixes[/h2]
  • Beach Blast – Removed collider at border tops to prevent jumping off.
  • Abandoned Roadway – Added rock colliders (WR exploit removed). Leaderboard reset.
  • Sheriff’s Town Tour – Re-enabled ground respawn collider outside borders to stop out-of-bounds driving.
What’s Next?
  • Working on 60+ new challenges for the next update - across all tracks and game modes. Some may be extra unique (no promises yet).
  • Continuing to fix smaller bugs & improvements from the tk2.nolt.io roadmap.

[h2]After That[/h2]
I’m working on a new matchmaking system to remove region barriers completely. The “search in background” feature has been removed in preparation for this.

On the Path to Overwhelmingly Positive

We’re at 532 reviews and over 94% positive right now, and I’m truly thankful for this amazing reception so far 🙏.

With this update (and the ones still to come), I hope we can eventually reach that magic 95% “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating. If you already love the game - or if future updates make you love it even more - consider leaving a review.

[h3]🌐 About This Patch – v1.0.0.2 - IMPROVING ONLINE MATCHMAKING[/h3]
I’ve seen quite a few posts saying it’s hard to find an online room sometimes. That’s why-even with a busy to-do list, I decided to make this my top priority.

The player base isn’t huge (yet!), but it’s strong and dedicated enough to build a great Time Trial, Casual, and Competitive Online scene.

My goal is to take care of our community and make the best possible experience for you. Now’s the perfect moment to shape the future of the game and stay connected to a passionate, smaller (but growing) audience.

[h2]🎯 Patch – v1.0.0.2 [/h2]
  • 📈 ELO point distribution reworked – should feel much better now
  • 🧠 Competitive ELO: from 5,000 it’s getting serious. Above 7,000 ELO it becomes a zero-sum game (like in chess)
  • 🎮 Quick Match added with game mode selection
  • 🌍 Public lobbies are ranked-only (no need to pick ranked/unranked)
  • 👥 Private races are unranked
  • 📢 Discord Room Notifications – if no room is found in your region and you start a new one, a Discord message will auto-send after 20 seconds to help others join
  • 🕹️ Search in Background – after 40 seconds solo, you can switch to background searching and go play something else (even single-player). You'll get notified when a match is found
  • 🔄 After 180 seconds with no room found in your selected mode, you may be offered to join another available mode (optional)

Even though this update is focused on online play, I’m actively working on the rest of the issues you’ve reported.
Patch v1.0.0.3 will land early next week and include new Challenges and a ton of other improvements!
