Vive la France ! DLC: Iberia Connections

With the upcoming release of the Iberia expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2, we know that many drivers will be excited to progressively make their way down Europe to cross into the peninsula for the first time. With France being mainland Europe's gateway to Spain and Portugal, our team is currently developing 2 new French locations which will be a part of a free update to the Vive La France ! DLC in the future.

The first being the city of Bayonne, located in the southwest of France; it is the capital of the French Basque Country and an important connection for drivers heading to Spain as it is located close to the border. Bayonne will also feature local industries from which drivers can deliver to and from.

The second location will be the smaller commune of Lacq, which is located in the Arrondissement of Pau. While this small village will just be a scenic drive-through for most, there is one major industry that is located there. The industrial complex was built after the discovery of one of the greatest natural gas fields in the world. Today Lacq is home to the largest refinery in France and is one of the world’s largest sulfur producers and exporters.

Both of these areas plus two new connecting junctions in Toulouse and Bordeaux will come as a free update to the Vive La France ! DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2 when the Iberia DLC is released. Please keep in mind that all of these screenshots you see here today are work in progress, both in terms of development and the new visual lighting system present.

If you haven't already, check out the Vive la France ! DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2; and add the Iberia DLC to your Steam Wishlist. It really helps support the development of our DLC's and we thank you for your support if you have chosen to already.

Christmas Wise Giving Update

Happy New Year! We hope you found time to enjoy the festive period and time to relax and settle down with a cup of your favourite hot drink. However, we know that many of you continued to work hard over the Christmas period as you took part in our #XmasWiseGiving World of Trucks event!

With brightly-decorated Christmas gift trailers and festively-painted trucks, drivers from across the world came together to help deliver gifts across the Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator with a goal to achieve, and on the 27th of December you, our #BestCommunityEver, completed the community goal!

Thanks to all your deliveries and hard work, you have unlocked the final tier of the community goals! If you have completed your personal goals, you will be able to claim your rewards under the Events tab on the My Page section of WorldofTrucks.com.

If you still have not found the time to complete all your deliveries or have yet to start, don't panic! You will have until 23:59 UTC on the 17th of January 2021 to complete the event with the special gift trailers, using the World of Trucks external contracts and earning festive rewards for your truck exterior and cabin. If you have only just found out about our event, you can find more information about how to take part here

Another event that has been running since early November is the #CruisingColorado event, in which you can earn free rewards for delivering to and from cities in our latest expansion for American Truck Simulator. Even though the community goal was reached within a week, we wanted to make sure that drivers could complete at their own pace. This event will also end on the 17th of January 2021 at 23:59 UTC, you can read the rules and find out how you can participate in this event

We look forward to bringing you lots of exciting content for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator in this new year and we look forward to sharing development news in the near future.

Happy New Year 2021

The year 2020 is coming to an end in a few hours. It's been a very hard year for most of the world, but we want to focus on something positive here. Despite some setbacks and hard decisions to make, the work on new map expansions, new vehicles and parts, new game features, and our 3D engine improvements continued at a solid pace. We have managed to keep our chins up and remain productive, and both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 keep getting better.

Allow us to reminiscence and review the content and features we have released throughout 2020!

Let's all hope that the new year will be way better than the one we are leaving behind. As teased and hinted in our Christmas Special stream (recording here), our teams are already working on a big pile of very exciting projects and updates, including quite some game-changers. We're looking forward to bringing you more specific news as we develop and release the new features.

Happy Holidays!

Our dearest #BestCommunityEver,

The festive end of the year is fast approaching, and the team at SCS Software is taking a bit of time off to enjoy the holidays and to recharge our batteries. We will slow down the pace of news updates and social media posts over the next couple of weeks, but we'll be back in January with new energy and lots of new topics to cover.

Meanwhile, we trust that all the automated systems we have put in place will keep on working only with a bit of monitoring needed. So you should be able to enjoy our new Christmas Wise Giving event on World of Trucks...

... as well as still being able to catch up on the Cruising Colorado event if you are thinking of getting the new map expansion for American Truck Simulator.

To say that this year has been difficult is an understatement. A lot of us have been through really rough times. There is a glimpse of hope on the horizon now with news that the world may have a cure next year, but we need to be patient and keep ourselves and the ones dear to us as safe as possible now. We are proud that our games are a part of life for so many of our fans, and we will be happy to provide you with company again if need be in the coming weeks. Ours is a hobby that fits the limitations of Stay at Home very well - or rather Truck at Home in our case!

So, make yourself a cup of hot chocolate, coffee or tea put on some warm and cozy clothes, get yourself some good and tasty food, watch some classic movies, and let these stories pull you into fantasy worlds where everything is possible. Or grab a steering wheel, a game controller, or just your trusty keyboard and mouse, and play the games you love, including American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Additionally, if you have missed our Christmas Special live-stream on Monday, you can watch the recording now, too. Maybe it can put a smile on your face as we reflect on the good stuff we managed to pull off in 2020, while also teasing and hinting at the future of our games in the years to come.

No matter how you are going to spend the holidays, have a wonderful time, and please stay safe.

Merry Christmas! ːwinter2019happyyulː

Best Euro Truck Simulator 2 mods

Euro Truck Simulator 2’s

mods are about crafting a more personal play space to make your evening truck fun just so. One person’s favourite sounds tweaks might sound like a broken axel grinding away to another person, which is a tricky thing to balance when gathering up some glorious gear-boxes. I took the view that the trucks themselves would be better off left largely alone and went looking for more immersive additions. Come truck with me, let’s see what I found en route.
