[p]Greetings, Rebels![/p][p]First and foremost, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to every one of you fighting alongside us in this world. Whether you’ve been here since the earliest test days or just joined our ranks recently, you’re the driving force that keeps us pushing forward and improving. Your feedback, suggestions, and patient support mean the world to us — and we never take it for granted.[/p][p] [/p][p]Today, we’re thrilled to share some exciting news —
The Front will receive a
massive free update this July! This update will roll out in Standard Mode, introducing the brand-new
Vehicle Assembly core feature, seven new
Black Sun Obelisks to explore, and a host of improvements focused on performance, onboarding, gameplay flow, and overall controls.[/p][p]

Some of these additions have been in the works for a long time, while others come directly from your suggestions and wishes. We’re deeply grateful for your patience and for walking this still-evolving road with us. We hope this update marks a brand-new starting point for The Front to keep moving forward — and to become even better, together with you.[/p][p] [/p]
Vehicle Assembly Arrives — Build Freely, Define Your Own Way to Fight
[p]In this post-apocalyptic world, vehicles shouldn’t all look the same — and they shouldn’t be limited to what the system dictates.[/p][p] [/p][p]In the new update,
Vehicle Assembly will make its official debut. It’s not just a simple feature — it’s a complete system built around freedom of construction, performance trade-offs, and expanded combat possibilities. Our hope is that you’ll truly start from scratch and craft your very own apocalypse war machine with your own hands.[/p][p] [/p][p]To support this, we’ve added a dedicated workbench called the
Vehicle Modification Platform. Here, you can build and customize your vehicles. The platform requires connection to the power grid and a stable power supply to operate, following the same logic as other electrical devices.[/p][p]

1.Vehicle Composition and Component Types
[p]In the assembly system, a complete vehicle consists of three main structural components:[/p]
- [p]Basic Structure: Composed of the chassis, frame, and engine — all three are essential, determining the vehicle’s overall framework and performance limits[/p]
- [p]Mountable Modules: Including weapons, armor, and support components, used to enhance offense, defense, and tactical capabilities[/p]
- [p]Exterior Paint: Will eventually support customizations like painting and graffiti (not yet implemented in this update)[/p]
[p] [/p][p]This update will introduce over
40 buildable parts in the initial release, covering the following:[/p]
- [p]Chassis: The load-bearing skeleton. Differences between wheeled and tracked types affect mobility and overall size[/p]
- [p]Frame: Determines the overall vehicle frame and mounting expansion capabilities[/p]
- [p]Engine: Provides power and electricity output — the “heart” of the vehicle[/p]
- [p]Weapons: Various types of firepower systems that can be mounted for offensive output[/p]
- [p]Armor: Enhances the vehicle’s overall defense, boosting battlefield survivability[/p]
- [p]Utility: Includes Storage Chest, Gas Can, and Battery to enhance vehicle functionality and sustain combat endurance[/p]
[p]Vehicle parts come in different quality tiers and can be obtained by defeating vehicle NPCs or exploring areas like the
Black Sun Obelisk. All parts are assembled modularly, allowing you to build a war machine with controllable performance and a style that’s entirely your own.[/p][p]

2.Assembly Rules and Mounting System
[p]Free assembly doesn’t mean no rules. To maintain construction logic and combat balance, vehicle assembly will follow these core mechanics:[/p]
- [p]Basic Constraints: Includes weight capacity, total power, and part quantity limits[/p]
- [p]Mounting Point Compatibility System:[/p]
[p](1) Mounting points on the frame and parts must match in shape and structure[/p][p](2) Universal components (such as the frame and armor) can display varied appearances[/p][p](3) Special components (such as engines, weapons, and utility modules) have no restrictions on installation locations[/p][p](4) Parts that don’t match or exceed limits cannot be mounted, preventing misaligned assembly[/p][p] [/p][p]The entire assembly process unfolds in real time within the open world, with every step instantly reflected in the environment—letting you directly experience the satisfaction of building your vehicle from parts to a complete war machine.[/p][p] [/p]
3.Vehicle Repair System
[p]When a vehicle is not completely destroyed, players can use the Vehicle Repair Station to fix it by consuming repair materials.
Additionally, removed components can be sent to their respective workbenches for individual repairs, reducing resource waste and extending the vehicle’s lifespan.[/p][p] [/p]
4.Future Expansion Preview
[p]Future updates will introduce
Mechanical Claws and
Flying Vehicles. Additionally,
Vehicle Painting and
Graffiti Systems are already planned for development, allowing you to customize the appearance of metal parts—making your war machine not only practical but uniquely yours.[/p][p] [/p][p]We can’t wait to see the first battle vehicle you build that truly belongs to you.[/p][p] [/p]
Black Sun Obelisks Unveiled — Seven Strongholds + All-New Boss Challenges
[p]Exploration content is also getting a major expansion. This new update will add seven
Black Sun Obelisks — each a distinct fortress with unique environments, serving as milestone challenge points to test players’ skills.[/p][p] [/p][p]Boss challenges will range from the entry-level Forlorn Clown to the survival- and damage-testing Crazed Eye and Brianman. Each boss features unique skills and tactical mechanics.[/p][p] [/p][p]Additionally, monster distribution, loot rewards, and stronghold pacing have all been systematically optimized. We’ve also introduced a new enemy type — vehicle monsters — to put your war machine’s strength to the ultimate test.[/p][p]

Lore Reforged — The Black Sun Project Emerges
[p]We’ve also taken this opportunity to review and expand the overall lore and background of The Front:[/p]
- [p]How the Empire’s lust for the primordial energy “Ether” led it down the path of tyranny and destruction?[/p]
- [p]Why the launch of the “Black Sun Project” triggered the undead outbreak, plunging all of human civilization into the abyss?[/p]
- [p]How players, as members of the future resistance, travel through time to the eve of the launch?[/p]
[p]……[/p][p]These mysteries will be gradually unveiled in the new update. You will take on the role of a visitor from the apocalypse, steadily conquering the Black Sun Obelisks on
Heaven Isle,
unlocking seven key data fragments, and infiltrating the Black Sun Core within the Eagle’s Nest (coming soon) to stop the project from launching.[/p][p]

Multifaceted Improvements: Comprehensive Upgrades to Performance, AI, and Controls
[p]Beyond gameplay updates, this version also brings improvements across multiple dimensions:[/p]
- [p]Art and underground scene performance optimizations to reduce lag and improve overall smoothness[/p]
- [p]Enhanced AI behavior and NPC animations for more natural combat actions[/p]
- [p]Added new character creation models to expand customization options[/p]
- [p]Improved interaction details, such as box status indicators, death markers on the map, and cancelable progress bars[/p]
[p] [/p][p]We see this update as a fresh starting point. Moving forward, we’ll continue adding new component types and explore gameplay directions like PvP vehicle battles. We know that only through constant iteration and listening to your feedback can this post-apocalyptic world become more vibrant—and a place you’ll want to stay in for the long haul.[/p][p] [/p][p]This July, we welcome you back to the world of The Front.[/p][p][/p]
