Doloc Town Early Access Roadmap Revealed

Dear Scavengers!

It's been just over a week since the initial Early Access release of Doloc Town, and the team couldn't appreciate enough for the overwhelming support from the community!

Since initial launch, the team has been working hard on hotfixes to address many key issues in the game. Several patches have been released over the past few days, and more are expected in the near future - not only to fix bugs but also to optimize ongoing issue in Doloc Town, such as lack of platforming optimizations and game balancing (lack of farming motivation due to low sell prices etc.)
Early Access Roadmap
Here the team would like to reveal the Early Access roadmap for Doloc Town for the later half of 2025 and early 2026:

Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below and let us know which feature/system gets you excited!
Regarding Community Feedback
As first-time developers, we've been humbled by the incredible volume of feedback this past week. The game certainly has its flaws, and we've made our share of mistakes, but we're thankful to everyone taking the time to share their thoughts. We believe the Early Access period is all about listening and improving based on player input.

While internal discussions are still ongoing, we'd like to take this opportunity to address some frequently requested feedback:

Additional Language Support

We’re a tiny team, so Doloc Town launched into Early Access with only a few languages - but your requests for more (and many offers to help!) blew us away. As a result, a community translation mini-project is currently in our plan, and community contributors will receive necessary help from us to translate + proofread. Eventually, finalized localizations will be added into the game. For more details (and if you would like to contribute), please join our Discord HERE and info will be shared in the coming days :)

Multiplayer

Multiplayer support isn't in our current roadmap for Doloc Town. Our priority is refining the core single-player experience and move the game into full release before exploring other possibilities.

Steam Workshop Support

We've noticed the community's demand for the Steam Workshop. While the team would love to support such feature, introducing it too early could result in early mods being incompatible with the official release. Giving the feature is not in a high-priority at this stage, we'll consider adding it at an appropriate time in the later future.

Romance

At this stage, we're focusing on other aspects of development rather than romance/marriage systems. Players can still form strong bonds with NPCs through added favorability and social interaction features as mentioned in the roadmap above.
What's Next?
We'll continue releasing updates while addressing the community's most-requested fixes. Then, the team plans to take a short break at the end of the month to recharge and better prepare for upcoming content development.

Starting in June, players may notice a slower update pace as we shift our focus to major content updates as seen in the roadmap.

On the community side, as our community expands rapidly after the Early Access launch, we'll host AMAs, share devlogs, run giveaways (yes, including the OST!) to keep development transparent and community engaged. Stay tuned on our social media & community for more info later!
