Characters
- Reworded several ability descriptions for clarity and consistency
[h3]Marlon[/h3]
Marlon commonly is benched once other DMG-focused characters are unlocked. These buffs will help him perform better in the lategame.
- Changed the effect of Justice Strike
-Old: Deal heavy DMG to one enemy
-New: Deal heavy DMG to one enemy. DMG dealt scales with the target’s max HP
- Changed the effect of the Counter status effect:
-Old: The next attack on this actor is evaded and countered
-New: The next attack on this actor is evaded and countered with a critical hit
- Increased DMG of Shield Bash
[h3]Reiketsu[/h3]
Shadow Strike is a strong ability particularly into the lategame. To curb Reiketsu’s dominance among DMG dealers, Shadow Strike now will perform worse against bosses and she will have a slightly harder time evading attacks.
- Shadow Strike will deal less DMG against targets with high max HP
- Decreased the effect of Shadow Cloak:
-Old: +35% evasion & +10% AP regen
-New: +30% evasion & +10% AP regen
[h3]Monolith[/h3]
Monolith struggles to survive against lategame enemies. To increase his survivability, Soul Drain now will recover more HP.
- Increased the effect of Soul Drain
-Old: Steal 15% of Monolith’s HP per turn
-New: Steal 20% of Monolith’s HP per turn
[h3]Faeris[/h3]
Faeris has struggled to see play due to the other powerful supporters available. Additionally, she’s also felt stiff to play compared to other characters. The aim of this comprehensive rework is to give her a more unique niche and allow her to be a more proactive participant in battle while staying true to her vow to keep the party safe.
- Renamed Sacred Arrows into Sacred Rain
- Replaced the level 1 ability Cure with Blessed Current
-Blessed Current: (3AP) (Charge Gain) Cure one ally of all applied afflictions. Increase the target's readiness by 20% times the number of active Soul Veil
- Replaced the level 2 ability Holy Prism with Divine Prism
-Divine Prism: (3AP) (Charge Loss) Deal heavy DMG to one enemy. DMG dealt increases for every stack of Soul Veil
- Replaced the level 2 ability Heal with White Wave
-White Wave: (3AP) (Charge Loss) Deal moderate DMG to all enemies. If active, gain 1 stack of Soul Veil for every target hit
- Replaced the meter ability Holy Veil with Soul Renewal
-Soul Renewal: (4 meter) (Instant) Gain 4 stacks of Soul Veil. Cannot use if Soul Veil is active
-Soul Veil: Allies recover 30% of their HP at the beginning of their turn, consuming a charge of Soul Veil [max 10]
- Replaced the passive ability Nature’s Blessing with Spirit Calling
-Spirit Calling: Decrease the effective cooldown of spirits by 4/5/6/7/8 turns
[h3]Shana[/h3]
Shana’s abilities reward her for dispatching regular enemies, which has her performance lack in fights against bosses. The aim of this rework is to make her a powerful ally in fights against even these powerful opponents.
- Changed the effect of Grief Shot
-Old: Deal moderate DMG to one enemy before increasing Shana’s DMG by 25% for 1 turn at a chance of 75%
-New: Deal moderate DMG to one enemy before increasing Shana’s DMG by 25% for 1 turn
- Changed the effect of Anguish Shot
-Old: (5AP) Deal heavy DMG to one enemy. If the target dies, gain 4AP
-New: (4AP) Deal heavy DMG to one enemy. DMG dealt scales with the target’s max HP
- Changed the effect of Penitence Ray
-Old: Deal moderate DMG to one enemy. If the target dies, gain another turn
-New: Deal moderate DMG to one enemy. If the target dies, gain 2 party meter segments and another turn
- Reduced cost of Remorse Shot from 5AP to 4AP
Enemies
- Applied all ability changes made to actors to equivalent enemy abilities
- Weary Reaper, Death will additionally gain Poisoned Resist as the fight progresses
- Anna (Digital Training Grounds) will additionally use the ability Pulsating Call
Items
- Changed the effect of the Fire Spirit’s ability:
-Old: Apply Encouraged (+25% DMG) for 2 turns
-New: Apply Enraged (+25% DMG) for 2 turns
General
- HP Regen effects will heal 1 HP if the target suffers from Unhealable
Bug Fixes
- HP Regen effects will no longer ignore Unhealable
- Raze’s ability Basilisk Touch will no longer increase her charge level and take abnormally long to execute
- Fixed issue that caused abnormal beavior with the charge level of Weary Reaper, Death
- Fixed issue that caused abnormal screen behavior when equipping items with a HP loss effect
- The weapon Twilight Blade will properly apply its additional DMG effect
- Potentially fixed issue that caused random crashes when booting up the game due to images failing to load
