Realpolitiks 3 | Critical Bugfixing Update is Live!

Greetings, fellow leaders!

We have just released a critical update, which fixes many of the issues you have been reporting since the game left Early Access. First and foremost, we are happy to report that not only will new saves not become corrupted anymore, but we have managed to implement fixes that ensure the ones affected by the bug are now playable again. If you find that this is not the case for you, please, contact us and send us the save files in question and we will try to recover them for you.

Besides bug fixes, we also improved game balance - most notably in the Stability system. Improving Stability will now be easier and faster, and Stability penalties caused by difference between the political affiliation of your country and your actions (for example if your society is largely conservative, but you push through liberal-leaning actions, or if you act as an autocrat in a heavily democratic society, etc.).

Full list of changes can be found below, but rest assured that we will continue to closely monitor your feedback and keep fixing bugs and generally improving the game. Realpolitiks 3 | Development Continues - A Patch Is on Its Way

Greetings, fellow leaders!

As we've promised when we've released the latest hotfix, we are finalizing a patch that aims to fix many of the issues you've reported to us. We are sorry that serious bugs managed to sneak through our testing and spoiled the experience of so many of you at our full release - but we want to reassure you that we are working hard on another update and even with the Early Access period behind us, we will keep working to ensure that any aspiring world leader will be able to enjoy Realpolitiks 3 and have fun with the game.

The most important issues we are working on are the "corrupt saves" bug and the error preventing some players from negotiating with certain nations; but we are also looking into improving the balancing of the stability system to make drops in stability caused by the dissonance between your actions and your country's political affiliation more predictable and easily understandable, as well as many other smaller bugfixes and improvements (we will be looking at further improving the optimization too). Those changes might come in further, separate patches, as we are trying to release the critical-bug-fixing update as soon as possible.

We would also like to sincerely thank each and every one of our players who take the time to report the bugs and thus help us fix them. We understand how frustrating it is when a game bugs out; if you are one of those diehard fans who send us a detailed description of what happened to them, what they were doing ingame at the time, what their PC specs are (this is especially important when reporting problems with performance) and any other details they can remember, along with their logs and save files, please know that you are deeply appreciated and we are doing all we can to fix the problems you find. Thank you!

Realpolitiks 3 | Hotfix is Live & More Fixes on the Way!

Greetings, fellow leaders!

Even though Realpolitiks 3: Earth and Beyond is now out of Early Access and fully released, we are still collecting feedback and bug reports from you and working on various fixes to the game. For now, we have put together a small patch, fixing several UI issues and problems related to certain language localizations.

However, we are also hard at work on the much bigger issues, notably the save-corrupting bug some of you have experienced; that in particular is our main priority, and it is actually tied in to several different problems, such as the bug preventing some players from negotiating peace treaties after wars with certain smaller nations. We hope to start testing an update with these fixes next week and get it released quickly.

We will continue to closely monitor your feedback, whether it's on the Realpolitiks Discord server or here on Steam, so please, keep reporting any bugs you find, and posting any suggestions that come to your mind - we'd like to keep supporting the game for as long as needed, fixing any issues that prevent you from enjoying ruling your country, and even rebalancing the game if necessary, based on what we learn from you.

Attaching logs and save files would be helpful as well – please send us everything you find in this folder:

Realpolitiks 3: Earth and Beyond Leaves Early Access!

Greetings, fellow leaders!

The day has finally come, allow us to officially announce that Realpolitiks 3: Earth and Beyond leaves Early Access today and launches as a full game, being 20% off at launch.

First of all, we'd like to start with a huge "thank you" to every single one of you for taking part in the Early Access journey, whether it was by purchasing the game, participating in the Open Beta, writing a review here on Steam or simply sharing your comments on the forums. It is you, our community, that helped us get through and shape the game.

Now to the full launch itself. The game features a whole host of new content and updates for its 1.0 launch today. These include:

  • A new "Climate War" scenario, in which the world faces a wave of climate disasters, eventually leading to a new type of wars to emerge, with countries fighting for basic resources and survival.
  • Finalized Leadership mechanic, letting players develop their Head of State and other members of the cabinet as they gain experience.
  • Various quality of life features, improvements and bugfixes based on community feedback, including the Timeline review, in which players can see how successful their reign has been, new combat balancing and changes to trade functionality, among others.
  • Localization to German, Spanish, French, Polish, Simplified Chinese and Russian languages.
  • Option to utilise the cash reserves to purchase the main resources at market prices.


Besides that, we’ve implemented tons of fixes and changes, including updates of the difficulty levels. The full Change Log can be found below the article.

One thing that deserves your special attention is the video tutorial for the game – you can launch it either by following this link or in-game by clicking the first icon at the bottom of the screen, which then opens the video on YouTube in your browser.

DISCLAIMER: During the playtests, we've noticed a rare crash that can happen to some players when they start a new game, then go to the main menu and then change the language of the game. In case this crash happens to you, simply launch the game again and everything will work just fine.

The journey is still not over, though, we will be closely monitoring your feedback, whether it's on the Realpolitiks Discord server or here on Steam and we'd like to keep supporting the game for as long as needed, patching any bugs that may have slipped through our fingers and rebalancing the game, if necessary.

Open Beta is Open!

Greetings, fellow leaders!

The release date of the full version of Realpolitiks 3: Earth and Beyond (April 24) is getting closer every day and we've prepared something special for you.

Because we want the game to leave Early Access in as good and polished state as possible, we have just started an Open Beta of a version that contains most of the new content and features even before the full launch. We did our best to implement as much of our community's feedback as possible, but we would still like to know more, so that we can put final tweaks and polish on the game. We'll be closely monitoring any feedback and bug reports you post either here in the comments, in Steam Discussions or, preferably, on the Realpolitiks HQ Discord server; you can even contact the developers directly at [email protected] - please don't be shy and share your thoughts with us!

This Open Beta will last until Monday, April 14. To access it, head to your Steam Library, right-click Realpolitiks 3: Earth and Beyond, left-click Properties, left-click Betas and from the drop-down menu select the option "Beta - public betatest in April". Your game will then update to the pre-final version. We can't wait to hear what you think!
