The Randomizer Update is coming to Death of a Wish!

Hello all! Death of a Wish has been out for over a month now, so we want to bring you some updates about what the future holds for this project. We have some really exciting news to share, so without further ado, let's get into it.
Randomizer Update
On Thursday, May 9, we're launching the Randomizer Update for Death of a Wish, which, as the name implies, will add a new randomized game mode option that allows players to experience the game like never before.

Did you beat Death of a Wish and find yourself still hungry for more? The Randomizer Update is for you! This mode allows players looking for an extra challenge, or those who just want another taste of Death of a Wish, to replay the entire game with randomized enemy and item placements, including randomized starting equipment.

Take on the game in brand new ways by mastering different combat styles and managing unpredictable encounters thanks to new item and weapon placements. Nothing will be the same as your first time through, so it's almost like trying the game from scratch!

For those who want to crank the difficulty up even more, this update also includes a "True Randomizer" mode that makes it possible for players to encounter mini-bosses and regular bosses as regular enemies in the world.

We're so excited to let you all know that Death of a Wish is an official selection for this year's Ludonarracon event on Steam! The digital festival runs from May 9 - 13, kicking off at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on the 9th.

During this event Colin will be showing off the Randomizer Update in action via a livestream on May 9 at 11 AM PST.

Colin and Kevin are also hosting a panel on Meaningful Combat Design in Narrative Games during the event, though the date and time for that are still TBD. We will let you all know those details as soon as we have them.
Mac & Linux port
Alongside the Randomizer Update, we're also launching Mac and Linux versions of Death of a Wish on May 9. As of that date, the game will officially be available on PC, Mac, Linux, and Nintendo Switch.

As always, if you haven't yet please leave a review for Death of a Wish! Thank you all for your time and support!
