It’s been one month since Bladesong has been unleashed upon you – or was it the other way around? For the occasion, we have crunched the numbers and prepared a dossier with statistics on swordmaking, story and community. Check it out, you might find a surprise or two in there.

Patch 0.1.6156

Swordsmiths! We're back with another patch, fixing and improving a number of minor issues across the board:
  • Fix: Hooded Man commission requirements are now more in line with the described dagger.
  • Fix: Organised Mind now gives +1 AP like the text promises.
  • Fix: Discarding a sword part the same frame as picking it up no longer crashes.
  • Fix: Relevant achievements now progress from regular commissions only, not from repair jobs.
  • Improvement: Added dialogue with your assistant about a mysterious commission.
  • Improvement: Added information about crew character effects to their character sheets.
  • Improvement: Added star marker for materials relevant to material/pigment requirements.
  • Improvement: Added tooltip to book/material/pigment requirements.
  • Improvement: Showing max AP in top bar (e.g. 5/7).
  • Improvement: Various localization improvements.
  • Improvement: Various SFX for dialogue events.

Our Plans for Patches and Updates

[p]Dear swordsmiths, In these past few weeks since the Bladesong Early Access launch, your feedback and bug reports have helped us solve a number of issues with hotfixes and patches, so thank you very much for this![/p][p]Our roadmap gives a first impression of what’s to come. Today, we’d like to give you a few more insights on timelines: [/p]
  • [p]Hotfixes: ongoing. We will continue to monitor reported bugs and issues, fix them as they come and push hotfixes as soon as we can. Please keep reporting any issues you find on our Discord or via our support email![/p]
  • [p]Regular updates: ~monthly. We are planning to release regular updates at roughly one-month intervals. These updates might include minor new features from the roadmap, slight improvements to Story Mode, a few new sword parts …[/p]
  • [p]Major updates: every 3-4 months. Major updates will include a new chapter for Bladesong’s story with a continued main quest, more side quests and faction content. As the story unfolds, these updates will introduce new major gameplay mechanics as well as new content (sword parts, materials, engravings) to be used across both Story Mode and Creative Mode.[/p]
[p]These are rough plans, so please take them with a grain of salt – they might change as the game evolves, and we will ensure stability of existing features before adding new things into the mix. That said, the first regular update isn’t far, so let us know what you’d like to see included! Bladesong’s just getting started.
