Patch 0.1.5993

Thanks to your reports, we were able to fix the following things on day 1:

  • New: Rock material
  • Fix: The game no longer gets stuck with disabled "End the Day" button. Existing savegames are fixed.
  • Fix: The end of Chapter 1 no longer ends abruptly. The event will re-trigger automatically for existing savegames.
  • Fix: You can now retry searching for the Ironmonger on Citadel Square after a failed attempt.
  • Fix: King's Justice event now diplays correctly under all circumstances. The event will re-trigger automatically for existing savegames.
  • Fix: You can no longer bump into the unknown crow at the Steady Stay without visiting The Den first.
  • Fix: The Luxurious Endcap no longer causes issues with hilt length, the game freezing, or swords not loading.
  • Fix: Wrap pieces can now be attached to the default oval grip piece in Story Mode.
  • Fix: Localization of vendor names
  • Fix: Localization formatting in journal, item descriptions and map markers
  • Improvement: Harvo Nimble-Grip commission now unlocks Citadel Square

  • [p]In Creative Mode, the forge is yours alone. Push Bladesong’s boundaries using the full range of blade-shaping abilities, sword parts, materials, and creative techniques. Share your swords with the community – or bring them into the real world using a 3D printer.[/p]

[h3]After three years in the making and six playtests, Bladesong will launch into Early Access on Thursday, January 22, 2026.[/h3]

If you're an avid Skyrim blacksmith, highly anticipated sword-making game Bladesong finally has a launch date

Sometimes I find myself contemplating what my life would have looked like in another era. The glitz and glamor of the 1920s, the innovative years of the Enlightenment; as a historian by trade, it's something I ponder far too frequently (but I'm a modern historian, so no dreaming of the Roman Empire). Having recently replayed Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption, however, I've found myself falling down a medieval hole, contemplating what the world would have looked like as your average, working citizen. Enter Bladesong, a simulation game that tasks you with creating unique, fantastical swords that look absolutely beautiful. Man, life could have been so different.

Demo Update for STEAM NEXT FEST



The Bladesong Demo is part of Steam Next Fest this week, and we've prepared a little update for the occasion! The latest Demo version comes with:
  • More Narrative Content: Play up to level 6 (instead of previously level 4)!
  • Improved Sword Part Bending: Bend sword parts with more degrees of freedom than before!
  • New Sword Parts: Round Quillon and two fitting Adapter parts
  • Colour Unlocked: Green is back on the menu!
  • Automatic Sword Preview Images in Creative Mode
  • One more Editable Sword slot so you can jump right back in!
