On August 13 2024 - Neuroshima Hex will be launching on PC via Steam!


This is a significant milestone for our team and for fans of the game who have been eagerly waiting for this release.



And for those who may not be familiar: Neuroshima Hex is a polish tactical board game set in a post-apocalyptic world where players compete to dominate the battlefield using unique factions (armies) and strategic maneuvers. You can try a free demo just now :D

Neuroshima Hex - Armies: Uranopolis summary

Welcome, dear strategists and warriors of the wasteland!

Greetings, fellow strategists and warriors of the Neuroshima Hex universe! Today, we delve into the intricate world of Uranopolis, a formidable army that brings both innovation and destruction to the hexagonal battlefield. In this devlog, we'll unravel the secrets of Uranopolis and highlight its four best units, each contributing uniquely to the tactical prowess of this powerful faction.



Uranopolis - Electric Surge of Destruction!


Can you imagine a world without electricity? Uranopolis army cannot!
Those bad boys use electro power to power up their advanced machinery!
I wonder who pays the electric bill....
That's ever changing post-apocalyptic warfare in Neuroshima Hex!

You can read in official army description:

Uranopolis - "Pre-war uranium mines with a hidden underground equipment and crews managed to survive the apocalypse and are still extracting valuable uranium. Over the following decades, many of the heavy mining machinery were transformed into deadly weapons and sent to defend the underground fortresses. This way a new town was founded. Uranopolis - a rich mining town, effectively guarding their treasures from being plundered by grabby neighbors."



Energy as a strategic resource - For Uranopolis, electricity is not just a necessity; it's a strategic resource that influences every decision on the battlefield. Some units - notably the HQ are the "power sources" and most of the units are labeled as "requiring power supply". In other words - they cannot function (even attack or defend themselves!) without the support of electricity providers!

But don't worry, just place those mechanical monstrosities near an electric supply and they are going to wreck havoc on battlefield! (until electric bill arrives)


Units that require electric power are labeled in this blue outline. If power is OFF they don't stop blinking ;(

Strategies and Noteworthy Units


Rule no 1 - REMEMEBER ABOUT POWER SUPPLY
same applies when you play AGAINST Uranopolis - without the power source they cannot do much damage.

Mechanic - this lovely lady is one of the few units that can provide power to other units. She also has the ablility to MOVE so she will be running around battlefield to get to the power hungry machines.
Ray - Ray (of energy) is powerful tool in the assets of Uranopolis army. Just use this Instant Action token on the battlefield to damage all units in a straight line ! There is only 1 in the entire deck so use it wisely.
Ravager - this bad boy can attack uses a special DEMOLITION attack. It has bigger range that standard attack but can't be buffed by modules and abilities. Also, he requires power so remember to get a mechanic near him!
Gauss Transformer- Ladies and gentlemen - we get to the very powerful module - A Gauss Transformer can change the range attack of its connected unit to a Gauss Attack!!! Gauss Attack- can get through multiple tokens on board!!! Very powerful! Can carry games.



In the unforgiving world of Neuroshima Hex, where survival hinges on adaptability and strategic acumen, Uranopolis stands as a testament to the transformative power of electricity. The faction's insatiable need for energy not only defines its character but also shapes the dynamics of every battle in which it engages. It's a hard to play faction but very original.

Neuroshima Hex - Armies: Sharrash summary

Welcome, dear strategists and warriors of the wasteland!

Step right up, Neuroshima enthusiasts! Get ready for a journey into the heart of chaos as we unveil the latest addition to Neuroshima Hex - introducing the Sharrash army! For those familiar with the board game, get ready to witness the mayhem of the Sharrash on your PC screen!



Sharrash: Underground Dance of Destruction


Post-apocalyptic warfare and mutant rats - it must gone wrong!
Don't give any cheese to those pets!
The Sharrash army has arrived.

You can read in official army description:

"Sharrash is a mysterious and well-organized community of mutant rats endowed with inhuman intelligence. They live underground, in tunnels and canals of the destroyed cities, along with degenerate humans and mutants who serve the Sharrash. They do not allow strangers anywhere near them, fiercely defend their nests, and their fighters will not hesitate to give their life for the pack."



The Sharrash army boasts a set of distinct advantages that set it apart on the battlefield. Notably, the mobility of their HQ stands out, allowing for strategic positioning and adaptability in the face of evolving threats.

However, like any force, the Sharrash army carries its share of vulnerabilities.
Notably, the absence of armors in their repertoire calls for a strategic approach, emphasizing precision over resilience.




Strategies and Noteworthy Units


A standout feature in the Sharrash arsenal is the special Foundation Tile (like Mine in other armies) known as the Hole.
This formidable piece is not easily discarded and serves as a formidable obstacle, disrupting enemy plans and establishing a strong defensive foothold.
You probably thinking: "what? its just a hole in ground! How can it be dangeroues??"

Yes , but what if this hole leads to UNDERGROUND where wild mutans and abnormalities awaits for their dinner?



The HOLE - you can drag any nearby unit to the hole - after a next battle an unit will automacialy die! And the Hole awaits its next prey !




Paralysis - Leveraging paralysis strategically in the Neuroshima Hex game can be a game-changer, turning the tide of battle in your favor. The ability to immobilize attacks of enemy units offers a myriad of tactical advantages that savvy commanders can exploit! Paralysis is available also in other armies but the Sharrash have this as "instant action" (use whethever you want)

Beast - where is the beauty? This small, rat pet can destroy targets in melee combat. It has whooping 3 attacks !!!! Useful in attacking a HQ.



Underground - as previously mentioned - units with Underground ability can change its place with a Sharrash HQ. Every turn! For free! Use it to your advantage! Also this module can give Underground ability to every unit on board! Just palce it and don't get it destroyed!

Hey there, Hex-heads! Time for another wild ride through the post-apocalyptic madness, and this time, we've got a surprise waiting for you in the overgrown corners of Neuroshima Hex - introducing the Neojungle army!
Of course you can know Neojungle from a board game but in this devlog we wanna show you how we implemented this army to the PC version.



The Neojungle: Rules of Nature?


Ever wondered what would happen if Mother Nature took a crash course in coding?
Well, wonder no more! The Neojungle army is here!

You can read in official army description:

When survivors of humanity started to get up from their knees after the destructive war, when they were looking in fear to the North at the terrain occupied by robots, in the South a new threatening force was born, a force as strong as Moloch but not as dynamic. Slowly but surely an overwhelming mutated jungle started to grow. It was driven by an ungoverned survival instinct, and with each passing year it devours new kilometers of human earth. It assimilates everything it comes into contact with, changing animals and people into mutated beasts and symbiotic organisms, which enable it to go forward and destroy the next threat. This huge green and ferocious organism was called Neojungle.



From the ferocious Nightshades to the tought Mosters, the Neojungle army is a force to be reckoned with!
Their units and their special ability "Motherland", offering a unique and versatile set of skills that will challenge even the most seasoned Hex commanders!

Here we will talk about some interesting units and strategies how to use Neojungle propely :D
We will start with the most important one: MOTHERLAND

What is this ability???
MOTHERLAND - All owned units that are adjacent to a unit with Motherland ability belong to the Motherland. Modules that belong to the player which are linked to any unit in the Motherland give their bonuses to each unit in the Motherland.

I hope it is enlightening :D So basically all your connected units on board are STRONGER together! (even stronger than FAMILY??)

Units in Motherland are represented by green outline. Also the first unit to start a Motherland is ofc a Neojungle HQ !



Nightshade - you can see this guy in the cover for Neojungle! Is that mean that he is so strong? Kind of. He is regular unit but with VENOM ability. Use him for strong adversaries!



Monster - this monstrority attack on almost every corner! (like HQ) . Is a bit slow (0 initiative) but even have strong 3 and 2 attack on top! Definetly gonna use it!



Symbionts - modules that upgrade other units. Remember about Motherland!!! Making use of modules is the thing that every Neojungle player should do!! It will drive you to victory !



Slicer - average unit but you can get 4 of them in your deck!



Small Bomb - oooouuu yeah tha'ts what im talking. Rememebr the unfamous AIR STRIKE from Moloch army? Well in Neojungle you can get a AIR STRIKE but a version "small fries" (still deadly).
Small bomb attacks 3 desired hexes (must be near other) and absolutely destroys almost everything!
Strong token but only one in deck. Use it wisely!!
