FLASH PARTY UPDATE ROADMAP (Spring/Summer 2024)


Dear Party Stars,

It's been half a year since we launched the "Starwaves" version, and today we're back with another round of future update plans!

At the end of May, we will start Season SS5 - Dark Side of the Moon. Many new features will arrive in this version, and this season's update will be a major one! The Experimental Stickers we've been rolling out for the past two months will be officially implemented during the SS5 season. At the same time, we will also introduce a limited-time free hero feature, so that more players can experience the charm of our various party heroes. The sticker wishlist will be upgraded to what we call the "Wish Come True Card." During the subscription period, players can rent up to three colorful stickers and will have more ways to obtain the stickers. The Trophy Wall function will allow players who continue to support and participate in community events to accumulate more in-game achievements.

After the SS6 season, we still plan to launch a new Assist Mode— an easy-to-learn operation mode. Just click the party button, and the AI will help you with basic attacks and recovery operations. Even newcomers who have never played platform fighting games can quickly join the fun fighting party! Another feature in the works is a new 1v1 Tag Battle mode, which we hope will bring even more fun and intense competition.

In addition, we know everyone has been asking about when we will release new heroes. However, with the current limited development resources and evaluating the potential sales of new heroes based on the current player count, continuing to develop new heroes while maintaining a balanced profit and loss has become extremely challenging. Therefore, after careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend the release of new heroes.

This does not mean we will stop updating and launching new content. With the encouragement of exciting competitions in player communities around the world, we believe that the existing heroes of Flash Party can support a competitive combat environment. Our current development plan will focus on polishing and improving existing heroes, gradually adding features, and enhancing the experience while lowering the entry barrier to attract more players to join the fighting party.

We also look forward with hope that one day in the future, we will bring new characters to join the fight once again.

[More Skins Return to Party Stage]
The following limited-time skin events will make a return for a limited period!
The Journey of Souls Skin Set, including Sivi-Wolf Spirit, Lan-Golden Snake, and Tong-Demonic Fox, will return from December 28th to January 19th.

Adjustments:
Up B: Slightly delay the timing of consuming the "Down B" energy overload charge gauge during the Up B action, so that when Up B is interrupted without a noticeable start-up lag, it doesn't deplete the charge gauge.
Colorful Sticker [Shockwave Suction]: Significantly increase the wind force applied to nearby targets and can pull ground targets away from platforms.
Colorful Sticker [Super Overload]: When carrying Super Overload, the charge gauge will have scale marks as a cue. When the charge reaches the first segment, the charge gauge will be highlighted.

[Heracles]
Objective:
Modify sticker design to enhance usability.
Adjustments:
Colorful Sticker [Thunderclap]: Change the sticker effect so that after carrying the sticker, the Side B and the comet hit by Side B's Neutral B no longer cause paralysis and slightly reduce the direct damage caused; however, it will call down a bolt after a short interval to inflict secondary damage on the hit target.
Bug fixes:
Colorful Sticker [Warrior Fury]: Fixed the issue where pressing the shield button while crouching could not be used to prematurely end the Fury burst.

[Sandy]
Objective:
To increase the ease of use of moves and improve the practicality of certain stickers.
Adjustments:
Side B: An additional attack hitbox is added close to the character during the start-up of Side B, knocking the opponent to the second hitbox's location, decreasing the chances of going through targets at close range.
Colorful Sticker [Iron Bash]: When equipped with the sticker, using Charged Attack will directly trigger Iron Bash without the need for additional charging time.

[Mr. 5]
Objective:
To improve the practicality of certain stickers.
Adjustments:
Colorful Sticker [Power Mortar]: When equipped with the sticker, using Charged Attack will immediately fire a long-range mortar without the need for additional charging time.

[Kamiki Yuri]
Objective:
To improve the practicality of certain stickers.
Adjustments:
Colorful Sticker [Let It Spin]: When equipped with the sticker, using Charged Attack will immediately activate Let It Spin without the need for additional charging time, and slightly increase the knock-out power and the duration of the attack hitbox (the duration of the move itself is not extended).

[Seaya]
Objective:
To prevent infinite combo situations and enhance the practicality of certain moves and stickers.
Adjustments:
Up Aerial: If Up Aerial doesn't hit with its final hitbox before landing, it will cause an additional knock-out to targets above, based on the opponent's damage percentage.
Down B: Slightly faster start-up of the reflection hitbox for Down B.
Colorful Sticker [Rhythmic Notes]: Upon successful reflection, adds the effect of "increasing Showtime energy meter," and with a full energy meter, Down B additionally has more health recovery and energy increase.

[Thanatos]
Objective:
Enhance the utility of certain moves and Stickers.
Adjustments:
Down B: Reduced the start-up time for Down B, and when Down B is used in the air, it will now inherit some of the horizontal velocity instead of immediately dropping to zero.
Colorful Sticker [Fearless Glaive]: Modified Sticker effect to enhance the performance of Neutral B Glaive when carrying the Sticker, increasing its flight speed, range, and damage.

[Tarara]
Objective:
Enhance the utility of certain Stickers.
Adjustments:
Colorful Sticker [Hammer Mastery]: Increased the speed and distance that can be moved forward when using Down B with the Sticker. Fixed an issue where hitting a shield with Down B while carrying the Sticker allowed immediate action.

[Gwynn]
Objective:
Enhance the utility of certain Stickers.
Adjustments:
Colorful Sticker [Gravity Field]: Enemies within the Gravity Field will also experience an additional effect of ground speed decay.

[Other Bug Fixes]
Fixed an issue where certain Hero Training Ground AI demos could not be completed.
Fixed a bug where Alice using Down B at the edges of the blast zone could potentially freeze the game.
Fixed an issue in the Anniversary Event where specific missions could cause errors in the gameplay mode.
Fixed incorrect text descriptions for some of Kamiki Yuri's Badges.
Fixed a problem on the Deep Sea Dancing map where characters could get stuck in certain areas at the bottom of the map.
Fixed an issue on the PC version where ICEY could not be selected in Local Versus mode.Fixed an issue where the Chilli Ancient Tribe skin's lobby animation did not display on some devices.Fixed an issue with Tina's Valkyrie skin where the lobby animation lacked some effects.Optimized the Cupid Squirrel Cub skin by improving the visual cues for the explosion radius effect when triggering clouds with musical notes.

Normal Sticker that gives damage bonuses can now affect the attacks made by Hero's summoned creatures and companions.
Example: Derek's Grenade and Sandy's Bandy attack can be enhanced by the skill attack bonus. The charged attack of the upgraded Tarara is enhanced by the charged attack bonus, etc.
The attacks made by the Hero's summoned creatures and companions can now also normally trigger the Knock-out Score recovery effect of the Rebirth Sticker.

[Heracles]
Objective:
To improve the stability of rage and standardize the technique mechanism.
Adjustments:
Passive skill "Rage": Slightly adjusted the rage attack judgement and size to prevent inability to hit when in close range with opponents.
Neutral attack: The window for linking the ground neutral attack 2 to the up/down attacks has been adjusted to be consistent with the window for linking to ground neutral attack 3. Make certain moves easier to use by improving their visual cues
Updates:
Colorful Sticker [Lingering Music]: After the ground attack, forward aerial, and back aerial charged attacks are complete, there will be a flashing effect above Cupid's head.
Up attack note: The hit effect of notes exploding after they hit the ground has been added, increasing the effect display but not altering the move performance.
All yellow notes: All yellow notes (including ground attack, up attack, and enhanced attacks with the colorful sticker) will no longer be destroyed after hitting the opponent, they can now penetrate the opponent.
Down B: During the floating period, holding the joystick downward will immediately interrupt the floating.
[Alice]
Goal:
Enhance neutral game ability and usability of certain moves
Updates:
Down attack: Adjusted the knock-out angle and knock-out strength of the down attack to make the knock-out more horizontally oriented and reduced the ending recovery.
Back aerial: Reduced the ending recovery of the move.
Neutral B: During B reversal (instantly pushing the joystick in the opposite direction after the start of the move) the move can have a reverse acceleration.

Make moves easier to use

Up attack: Slightly shortened the start-up of the first phase of the up attack and increased the sweet spot size. Adjusted the knock-out strength and angle of the first phase enabling the move to hit close opponents to the sweet spot of the second phase.
Up B: Adjusted the ledge grab detection of Up B to reduce exposure.
Bug Fixes:
Aerial: Fixed a bug where the move freezes at the end of a landfall action after an aerial attack.
Edge fall: Fixed a bug where the player was sometimes unable to fall off the platform when edge fall was triggered.
[Lan]
Goal:
Improve the performance of certain moves
Updates:
Back aerial: Adjusted the knock-out strength and angle to make the target fly upwards. Reduced the ending recovery of the move and the trigger window after landing, making the move more connective to other moves.
Up aerial: Greatly moved up the timing for a fast fall.
Neutral B: Reduced the ending recovery.
Down B: When there is a Wind Bell on the field, using "Down B" again will destroy the existing Wind Bell and recreat a new one.
[Gwynn]

Improve the performance of certain moves
Updates:
Down B: Slightly increased the grab range (also increased the visual range) and optimized some potential misoperation problems. Now, after successfully hitting an opponent with a ground Down B, early input of jump during the ending recovery will use ground jump, no longer consuming an aerial jump.

• Side Special: When Rose is attacked, both the opponent and Rose enter a larger pause, increasing the stability of the counterattack triggered by Rose's retaliation, and slightly increasing the counterattack range.
• Colorful Sticker "Go Grandma Go": Slightly reduced startup frame and increased knock-out power. Increased the range around the bush where "Go Grandma Go" can be triggered.
• Colorful Sticker "Rust's Diving Drop": Increased the range around the bush where "Rust's Diving Drop" can be triggered.

[Other Bug Fixes]
• Fixed an issue where Derek had a chance to go through the platform and pull opponents off the field directly.
• Fixed a minor discrepancy between the visual and judgment of the flying cards released by the side special in the Magician-Cap'n Seahawk Skin.
• Fixed an issue with the PC version, where you cannot use hotkeys to use the three newly added Emoji slots.
• Fixed an issue where the "Destined Hero" Badge would be reset by a hero with lower proficiency after unlocking.
• Fixed a problem where the number of draws in the Starlight Wheel may display incorrectly under specific circumstances.
• Optimized some text expressions.
• Optimized some specific errors.

The main content of this update includes:
- Removal of Hero Level system
- Added battle mechanics: Edge Fall, Jablock, Pushback Influence
- Added three new maps
- Matchmaking Mode changed from following time map rotation to random map selection
- 1v1 mode and peak arena add rematch function, allowing up to BO3 matches
- New Hero proficiency system, improving proficiency unlocks various rewards

Colorful sticker probability increase mechanism adjustment
- Added colorful sticker "Wishing Pool" feature, allowing the selection of 1-3 Heroes to enter the Wishing Pool
- The probability of obtaining unlocked colorful stickers for Heroes in the Wishing Pool is increased 10 times (colorful sticker draws will not grant duplicate stickers, and the specific probability will vary depending on the remaining number of unlocked stickers)
- If a Hero in the Wishing Pool has not yet owned any colorful stickers, the next received colorful sticker will be guaranteed to belong to that Hero
Starwaves Hero Level related compensation
- Each Hero will receive Aura Chest compensation based on their Hero Level in the new version without Hero Level: level 10 Heroes get 14 chests, level 9 Heroes get 8 chests, level 8 Heroes get 5 chests, level 7 Heroes get 4 chests, level 6 Heroes get 3 chests, level 5 Heroes get 2 chests, level 4 Heroes get 1 chest
- Players will receive at least one Aura Chest compensation even if they do not have a Hero above level 4
- All Aura Chest rewards will be directly received and opened by the game system upon the first login after the update
- After the version update, we will automatically add the three highest-level Heroes with all of their Colorful Stickers yet to be unlocked to the "Wishing Pool" for Colorful Stickers.
- Please note: If all of your currently owned Heroes have collected all colorful stickers, you will not be able to continue to obtain unlocked Hero colorful stickers through Aura Chests; to get the most value from your Aura Chest compensation, we recommend unlocking a sufficient number of Heroes before the update
- Starwaves extra colorful sticker compensation: This version adjusts the Aura Chest supplement, for players who can receive more colorful stickers than unlocked colorful stickers when collecting all Aura Chests, we will provide an additional random colorful treasure chest for every 10 Aura Chests overflowed (up to 4), this compensation will be sent to the mail, please claim within the validity period
- For old players who registered before the Stardust Warriors version and never logged in during the Stardust Warriors version period, the Stardust Warriors version's colorful sticker exchange, treasure chest luck conversion, and other compensations will also be issued together when logging in for the first time after the update
Party Royale Mode Will Be Closed
- We regret to announce that due to our inability to find a suitable development direction for Party Royale mode, we have ultimately decided to discontinue its development. Party Royale mode and Party Lab will be closed after the update.
Hero proficiency inheritance rules
- Each Hero has six levels of proficiency rewards
- The proficiency level will be inherited according to the player's highest Stars in Hero history: 500-999 stars will inherit to level 2, 1000-1999 stars will inherit to level 3, and 2000 stars and above will inherit to level 4
Store and event adjustments
- Added weekly Aura Chest gift package to the store, including 2 Aura Chests, priced at 400 Lucky Coins, Monthly Pass privilege discount of 320 Lucky Coins, limited to 1 purchase per week
- Adjusted Monthly Pass daily rewards, increasing daily sticker fragment gains from 30 to 40
- Added "Return to Party" series of return events and a return guide, players who have not logged in for more than 30 days can participate in related events after returning to the game after the update

- Added Edge Fall mechanism: When a character is in Shield state and is attacked, touching the edge of the platform due to Shield Pushback will cancel the Shield state and cause the character to briefly lose balance and fall outside the platform
- Added Pushback Influence mechanism: When a character is in Shield state and is attacked, the Shield Pushback distance can be slightly influenced by pulling the left joystick

"Tri-Force": During the release of Super-neutral B, when S-17 is pushed, the attack hitbox area will move with S-17, preventing accidental hits on targets behind; the final segment of Super-neutral B attack will not have extended judgment due to hit lag.

Improve move performance and increase character potential
Adjustments:
All gun-based attacks: Slightly increased the hitbox of the muzzle part, and increased the damage and knock-out caused by that part.
Fix:
Jump-cancel aerial attack: The ending lag of the aerial attack, released by jump-canceling, is adjusted to be the same as the regular aerial attack.
Fix the issue where the shield is released immediately after being hit, resulting in a longer shield hit stun.
