What to Expect in Early Access
Harness your powers of transformation to manage your farm and explore the countryside. Grow bonds with extraordinary islanders and uncover the secrets of Seikyu and your fox-spirit ancestry. Early Access will give players the opportunity to uncover the first chapter of the game, along with three unique yokai transformations to master. Experience the might of the boar yokai, traverse Seikyu’s waters using the aquatic abilities of the slime, and take to the skies with the power of flight as the tengu yokai!
Get ready for adventure, fishing, cooking, customisations (for furniture and clothes!), boss battles, and, of course, romance! You’ll be able to unlock heart events with six of our villagers at the start of Early Access, but we’ll be updating the game regularly with more romance options and heart-event progression as we go. And remember, if you played our Steam Next Fest demo, you’ll be able to load your save files at Early Access to pick up where you left off. Of course, you’re welcome to start a new game if you’d prefer.
Why Get the Game at Early Access?
Ah, the age-old question: get the game at Early Access or wait until 1.0? The truth is, both have their benefits and we think it’s important that you do what’s right for you, but we wanted to give you an idea of why we’ve decided to embark on our Early Access journey.
We’re launching Tales of Seikyu in Early Access because community input is so important to us. Developing the game alongside your feedback is going to give us a unique insight into exactly what it is you want and which areas we should be focusing on to bring you something truly special. It’s also worth noting that the price of the game may change at 1.0 to reflect its finished status, making this a great time to get your hands on Tales of Seikyu, since grabbing it at Early Access means you’ll own it forever with no additional purchase necessary when we enter 1.0.
Your Feedback Is More Important Than Ever!
As we embark on our Early Access journey, we want to make a point of letting you know that your feedback is incredibly important to us. We’re so grateful to those of you who shared their thoughts and submitted bug reports on the demo, and we’ve implemented much of this to bring you the best possible experience on day one of Early Access. Your demo feedback resulted in oodles of optimisations, enhancements to combat, improvements to UX, and polish on the overall gameplay experience.
Now that we’re about to enter Early Access, your feedback, suggestions, and bug reports will help shape the future of the game. If you want to see something in Seikyu, we want to hear about it, so don’t be shy! You’ll find a link to our bug report form in the main-menu of the game when it is available to download, and we’re welcoming feedback via our official feedback form, here in the Steam Discussions, over on Discord, and across our X, Bluesky, and Reddit channels.
