What's Coming to Tales of Seikyu at Early Access?
Goodness, we’re excited about our Early Access launch! In case you missed our announcement, you’ll be pleased to know that Tales of Seikyu will launch in Steam Early Access on the 21st of May 2025. It’s not long now until you’ll be boarding the boat to Seikyu! \(0^◇^0)/
If you haven’t already gathered by now, we’re real big on sharing as much information with our community as possible! We want you to know what to expect at Early Access and what’s coming in updates throughout our Early Access journey and as we approach 1.0. We’ve been working very hard on bringing the magical world of Seikyu to life, and we can’t wait for you to see everything we’ve worked on so far. As a reminder, Tales of Seikyu will be launching in Early Access, which means we’re still working hard on making Tales of Seikyu the very best it can be based on your wonderful feedback. There’s so much more coming to Tales of Seikyu throughout our Early Access journey, and we plan to deliver fresh content and features in batches across our various updates. We’ll keep sharing information and announcements with you the community and we’ll do our best to let you know which features are coming with which updates.
We hope you’re excited to embark upon this adventure with us, and we’re literally counting down the days until you can set sail and start your new life in the countryside. We want you to know that we’re so very grateful for your support as we approach our Early Access launch, and we can’t wait to hear what you think of the magical world we have created. We’re counting on your feedback and bug reports to help us make Tales of Seikyu the kind of game you won’t be able to put down. [h2]What’s Coming to Tales of Seikyu at Early Access![/h2]
- Story Chapter One: Experience the first chapter of your Seikyu story, explore the countryside, and take part in early-game quests (with more coming in subsequent updates).
- First 3x Yokai Forms: Each with their own unique powers. From the powerful boar and aquatic slime all the way to the soaring tengu. We’ll be refining these yokai powers throughout Early Access for even more mythical might!
- Heart Events with 6 villagers: Love is in the air. Build your relationships up to level 4 with Nyotengu, Hephaestus, Musashi, Liliana, Yohji, and Anna. More romanceable villagers on the way!
- 40+ Seeds/Crops: Featuring seasonal growth mechanics!
- Farm Expansions: With so many crops to grow, you’re gonna want to buy some new plots of land to farm on. We’d love your feedback on farming, as we know this is an area many of you enjoy, so please tell us what you think when you try it at Early Access.
- Puzzles: Rumour has it that there are spirits deep within the fox ruins who offer puzzles to only the most worthy of yokai.
- Casino & Tavern: Help bring a little excitement to Seikyu by building new businesses for the community! We’ll be working on adding new features for community buildings such as these, so if there’s something you want to see, make sure to let us know.
- 50+ Recipes: Cook crops, foraged items, and fish into delicious recipes! Eat them yourself for unique buffs or gift them to villagers (just remember that not everybody’s tastes are the same).
- 100+ Pieces of Furniture: Whether you prefer cute and cozy or a traditional Eastern aesthetic, there’s something for everyone.
- Furniture & Clothing Customisation: Express yourself through your clothes and home! We’re also making a point of asking the community what they’d like to see in terms of new outfits and customisations over on our social media channels, so make sure to follow us on X and Bluesky to take part.
- Boss Battles: Go head-to-head with the first two bosses. Let’s hope your combat training with Nyotengu pays off! We know there’s still work to be done on polishing the combat experience and we’d love your feedback on how this feels at Early Access so that we know what to improve on the road to 1.0.
- Carp Festival: Seikyu’s spring festival, with fun activities and good vibes. We want to make the festivals of Seikyu truly magical, and we’d love your feedback on what else you’d like to see at these community events.
- Language Localization: Tales of Seikyu will be available in English, German, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese at Early Access launch. If you spot any localisations that you think need adjusting or wording differently, please let us know so we can correct them. We’ll be adding more languages throughout our Early Access journey.
