Primal Planet launches July 28 — and we have a new trailer!

[p]Hey everyone — I’ve got big news today: Primal Planet officially launches on July 28. And to celebrate, there’s a brand new trailer out now on IGN![/p][p]This one shows a lot more of the full game — you’ll see new biomes, new prehistoric beasts, and a few emotional glimpses into the story of one primeval family. If you liked the vibe of the first trailer, I really hope this one hits even harder.

Demo Update #3 - New Features, Bug Fixes, Remote Play, and More!

The third update for Primal Planet DEMO is ready and it’s packed with improvements and new features!

[h3]Here's what's new:[/h3]
🥰 Upgrades for Sino the dino!
🎵 New music for nightfall.
🔥 You can now Use/browse items while sitting at the campfire.
🦖 Trex has some extra new moves, like stomping and better terrain traversal.
🐊 Bigger predators stalk you for a while. Raptors are most relenless, they remember.
🦜 Small birds and parrots now inhabit Primal Planet.
🏃 You can receive fall damage, but will need to fall quite far.
🗺️ Areas now have unique names instead of "Forest01, Forest02 etc."
🎨 Visual changes to certain areas.
🛠️ Performance optimization and sound re-balancing.
📜 New language support for Chinese and German.
💗 A wishlist button in the main menu.

Demo Update #2 - New Features, Bug Fixes, Remote Play, and More!

The second update for the Primal Planet demo is live, and it’s packed with improvements, new features, and some much-needed bug fixes. Thank you for all your feedback, it’s been a great help in making the game better! Let’s dive into what’s new:

[h3]🌟 Add-Ons[/h3]
🐠 A little more variety of small fish to bring life to the waters
🌳 Rare Spirit Trees that grant a Skill Point (there are 2 in the demo, can you find them both?)
🎵 New music tracks for certain intense parts

[h3]🛠️ Improvements[/h3]
💾 Permanent save function - finally, your progress is here to stay
🌪️ Walljumping has been fine-tuned for a smoother experience
🏃 Roll-jump momentum now carries through the entire jump
📜 Polish and Spanish translations have been added, and Finnish translation has been improved (more languages on the way)

[h3]🐛 Bug Fixes[/h3]
🧱 No more roll-jumping into walls and getting stuck
❌ Fixed the exploit allowing walljumping straight up due to "coyote time"
🤝 Co-op backgrounds now display properly at the edges when the camera zooms out
⚡ Prevented barriers from going into a flashing loop after being hit. I couldn’t fully reproduce this bug, but I believe I’ve addressed the root cause. Let me know if it still happens!

[h3]🌐 Remote Play Together[/h3]
I’ve enabled Remote Play Together for the demo! Some of you asked about it, so I tested it with a friend, and it works great. You can even cast it to your phone and use Steam’s virtual controller! 😊

Demo Update #1 - Patch Notes

[h2]Hello, Dinovanians![/h2]

A new version of the demo is live! I wanted to address a few issues that needed immediate attention. Hopefully, this update fixes them without causing a bunch of new ones 😜

Thank you so much for all your feedback so far, it’s been incredibly helpful in improving the game!

[h3]🛠️ Patch Notes[/h3]
Infinite death loop: Fixed a bug where getting hurt while activating a campfire could trap you in an endless loop of doom.
Pause menu chaos: Resolved an issue where pressing "Escape" to exit campfire/hut menus triggered the pause menu instead.
Invisible enemy bug: Attempted a fix for flying enemies getting stuck in a loop. I couldn’t reproduce the issue myself, so this one’s still under observation. If you encounter it, please share details!

[h3]🐞 Known Issues[/h3]
The control setup can sometimes go haywire. Until I have a permanent fix, you can reset controls by going to Pause > Settings > Controls > Reset Controls.
