Devlog #04: Another Major Push for Stability

Dear Players,

After our last update, we were deeply distressed to discover that numerous "instability factors" were still unresolved.
[h3]Thus, we plunged back into round-the-clock development and have finally resolved the following issues this week[/h3]
  1. Further addressing the issue of game crashes
  2. Resolving the probability of black screen when entering rooms via the room list
  3. Initial optimization of late-game stuttering in Endless Mode
  4. Checking and fixing numerous unexplained terrain glitches
  5. Fixing the bug where the leaderboard might not record data in 3-player online games
  6. Resolving issues with in-game settings not being saved
  7. Further performance optimization
  8. Addressing a series of bugs related to talents (e.g., stuttering issues with Princess’s third skill when riding a dragon, looping activation of Fate Dice, incorrect function of Cursed Destruction, etc.)
[h3]We've also made some balance adjustments and added new content[/h3]
  1. Reducing the damage inflicted by monsters in the later stages of the game
  2. Weakening the gravity effect of the evil elite monsters
  3. Enhancing the damage of dual swords and adding a short dash attack
  4. Increasing the damage of daggers and two-handed axes
  5. The Bond Girl will fully recover her health after interacting with Bond.
  6. Creating a new set of talent icons
  7. Adding a controller vibration feature when taking damage

Devlog #3: Tackling Each Instability in the "Party" One by One

Dear "Apocalypse Party" Players,

I'm the producer, Wilson Lin. First off, a huge thanks to everyone for your support and love for "Apocalypse Party."

Just 5 days post-launch, and we've already hit over 1100+ reviews - pretty awesome!
I've been carefully reading every review, the good and the bad (although the bad ones are making my hair fall out, T T).
We are grateful to all players who like our game and will also face up to the criticism raised by our players.

Among these, the most urgent issue has been the crashes. So, we've spent a few days identifying and fixing these issues and have finally completed the following:
  • Resolved most of the known crash issues, enhancing the stability of online play. If we catch any new crashes, we'll address them as quickly as possible (by the way, remember to click 'Send' if you encounter a crash!)~
  • Increased the healing value of the Resurrection Goddess Statue/Beds dropped by bosses (healing now based on a percentage of lost health).
  • Simplified the unlocking conditions for the Soul Priest (now unlockable without needing to play online).
  • Easter eggs will no longer appear by chance; they will now consistently appear.
  • Resolved issues where some easter eggs weren't visible to the client.
  • Fixed a problem where completing endless mode sometimes didn't record scores for the leaderboard.
  • Further optimized the talent randomization algorithm.
  • Made initial improvements to controller aim assist.
  • Fixed a batch of serious talent bugs (like attack speed suddenly becoming negative, intern-class missions not adding attributes, etc.)
I completely understand the frustration of playing a favorite game that isn't stable. So, stability will continue to be a focus and area for improvement.

I also hope those who left us negative reviews and departed due to our initial instability will give us another chance and come back for another round~

Devlog #2: We're Listening, and Making Real Changes!

Dear "Apocalypse Party" Players,

First and foremost, we are genuinely grateful for your support.
We recognize that every player is an indispensable part of the "Apocalypse" world, and we take every piece of feedback seriously! For instance, some of you mentioned concerns like: the gameplay not being thrilling enough, the level cap being too low, and some content requiring online play to unlock, etc.

We've changed them all! And the changes are effective immediately!

Therefore, we've worked tirelessly through the night, and after ensuring the online server crash issue was resolved, we are excited to bring you this "Devlog #2":
  • All content previously unlockable only in online mode can now be unlocked in single-player mode.
  • Increased the level cap to 25.
  • Optimized the talent algorithm (reduced randomness, making it easier to form a consistent playstyle. Removed the restriction of no gold talents before level 7).
  • Default number of talent resets increased to 6.
  • Simplified unlock conditions for certain characters (like Beastmaster/Bard/Epidemiologist, etc.).
  • Enhanced the numerical values of some character skills.
  • In online play, the buffs triggered by statues now cover the entire team.
  • Initiated a preliminary anti-cheat detection feature.
  • Resolved a number of other serious bugs and crash issues (still in ongoing optimization).
PS: Remember to restart Steam to detect the version update.

We understand that in this rapidly evolving gaming world, only by continuously listening and swiftly responding can our game meet your expectations.

Online Functionality Now Fully Restored! Party, Activate!

Dear Players,

After a half-day of intense work to fix the issues, we are thrilled to announce that the online functionality is now working.
  • We've urgently added the feature to invite friends to your room! (Strongly recommend using this feature when teaming up in games XD)

    We also fixed the concurrency issues with searching for/ listing rooms (so teaming up with new friends online is hassle-free).
