Weekly update 0.750 (breaks saves!)

Hi everyone,

This week I fixed the save system to allow steam cloud, so it's now enabled. As a result, this update will break saves, so make sure to finish your run before updating.


Gameplay

  • Steam cloud now enabled
  • Strong shot ability no longer suffers speed penalty
  • Commanders now gain some baton skills
  • Updated freeze effect on attack speed
  • New dungeon: Ice cavern. Fight a strong boss. Has a 50% chance of spawning to replace the ghost cave
  • New achievement related to that dungeon
  • Rangers gain some dagger skill
  • Increased speed for all mounts a little
  • Revised dark horses and pegasus mounts
  • Rage trait no longer shows up for war machines and mechanical units
  • Beholder ranged attack changed to cold damage
  • Certain ranged units now switch to melee when on guard



Fixes

  • Quick shot ability now uses 2 extra ammo, but suffers no damage penalty
  • UI now correctly shows freeze effects on stats
  • Fixed bug with kill leader event that would not start the battle
  • Various sound fixes
  • Bug with enemies with frost resistance and freeze attacks

Hi everyone,

Been working on a new hero and endless mode... hopefully I get them done for Christmas. In the meantime here are the weekly fixes.


Gameplay

  • Increased number of units in town per upgrades
  • Increased thorn plants bonus per level
  • Giant axe cleave increased to 1.5
  • Builder potion is now worth more
  • Increased death spawn numbers
  • Fox attack delay reduced to 0.3
  • Dust storms now spawn more monsters in late game
  • Improved town UI
  • Crocs no longer have fast metabolism, will get another skill later
  • Improved animations of : leeches, statues, ballista, cannon, catapult, worms and beholders
  • Improved attack sounds of golems


Fixes

  • Swallow no longer works on mechanical units
  • Fixed bear growl sound
  • Fixed eyelash viper model
  • Fixed cleave ability affecting allies, it was not supposed to

Quick fix 0.747

  • Fixed the swiftness skill of commanders that would affect enemies - sorry guys
  • Mushroom now improve their poisonous attacks with level ups
  • Improved metal mace models
  • Bears move 25% slower now
  • Improved overworld mixed stationary guards enemy selection
  • Improved slime models
  • Increased chances of random events by a little

Weekly update 0.746

Gameplay

  • Psychologists now have a chance to stun enemies
  • Brutes now have cleave for their melee attacks
  • Scorpions now have a reach of 2
  • Medic trait soft capped at 1, because it's not that useful
  • Leeches atk speed increased to 2.5 and size to 0.7 and have higher frost defence
  • Improved units moving animations
  • Improved various overworld objects looks
  • Missionary blueprint level capped to 1, since it's not worth much investing


Fixes

  • Canon models had issues with their wheels
  • Siege engines would drop their weapons as loot when they shouldn't
  • Various UI fixes and UI animations
  • Updated player log screen to be easier to read.
  • Xp for Armored hunter raised to 90
  • Poachers would spawn in battles where they shouldn't
  • Fixed bug where heroes could get forbidden skills
  • Nature crown had a deprecated bonus

Quick fixes 0.744

  • Added missing description for protection aura
  • Frost batons now deal more frost damage
  • Fixed 3 achievements that would not trigger
  • Builder item now gives associated blueprint when you use it in a town
  • Rebalanced mutant skill gains
  • Fixed tutorial in town not being disabled even with hide tutorials turned on
