Astrometica Christmas Update

Hey everyone, we’re excited to bring you a limited-time Christmas update for Astrometica! This update introduces a new giant frozen island, packed with festive content, decorations, and surprises to celebrate the season. The update is now live in the Experimental Branch!

[h3]How to Access the Experimental Branch:[/h3]

  • Go to your Steam Library and find Astrometica.
  • Right-click on the game and select Properties.
  • In the properties menu, go to the Betas tab.
  • Select Experimental from the dropdown.
  • Close the menu and let the game update!

We’ve also made significant bug fixes and improvements in this update:

🔧 Bug Fixes & Improvements:

  • Fixed jetpack refueling bug when using gravity.
  • Resolved a bug where players would fall under the map.
  • Creative Mode Improvements: Tools and ship charges no longer decrease in creative mode.
  • Fixed crafting bug for tool modifications, now properly deducts resources for multiple crafts.
  • Fixed notification errors for unstackable items showing incorrect amounts.
  • Resolved 0% health bug.
  • Habitat colors no longer reset after warping to another belt.
  • Fixed resources falling through the floor in the Old Hub Station.
  • Power cell charge bug resolved (no longer charges only one cell).
  • Fixed environment unloading in the Red Cave.
  • Storage boxes can no longer be renamed.
  • Added the ability to copy locations directly from the pause menu.
  • Blue right rod is now recyclable, yielding light bulbs.
  • Infinite oxygen in Zero-G vertical corridors bug fixed.
  • Fixed hook tool clipping through corner walls of habitat rooms.
  • Collision improvements for smoother gameplay.
  • Feedback menu now supports multi-line text.
  • Copper asteroid scanning bug fixed.
  • Fixed crashing issues for Steam Deck and ROG Ally handhelds.
  • And many more minor fixes!


✨ New Features & Content ✨

  • Windows can now be placed on corners of habitat rooms and large habitat rooms.
  • Introduced a new glass stair corridor, currently available only in Creative Mode.

We're back with a fresh update featuring bug fixes, improvements, and a few new additions to enhance your experience. Here's what's new:

  • Fixed Nicron enemy shaking bug when detecting players.
  • Fixed Theta-9 base colorize effect bug.
  • Fixed a bug where summon vehicle didn’t consume batteries.
  • Fixed a bug causing all markers to be hidden in-game.
  • Fixed corridor asteroid miner disappearing issue in Old Hub.
  • Fixed duplicate tools appearing in inventory.
  • Fixed duplicate batteries spawning bug.
  • Fixed power cell disappearing issue.
  • Fixed deposit miner disappearing bug.
  • Fixed deconstruction message for windows not displaying properly.
  • Fixed health display issue when changing suit and shield modules.
  • Added a message to indicate when saving the game is successful or failed.
  • Fixed delete save slot not updating properly in the menu.
  • Fixed issue where windows couldn’t be removed from large habitat rooms.
  • Fixed a bug causing summon health charge to decrease after warping.
  • Fixed some deposits being unminable by deposit miners.
  • Fixed typos and minor text issues.
  • Fixed "hold shift to change crafting amount" functionality in the Tool Modification Fabricator.

  • Fog Improvements: Fixed visual issues when players move far distances (better and smoother visuals).
  • Quality of Life: When reading a log in space, oxygen consumption will now pause.
  • Added red celestite deposits to the Red Cave (they will respawn each time you load the game for now).
  • New farming tree type: Celestite Deposit.
  • Added new resources: Fiber and craftable Fabric.
    These are now craftable in the Fabricator.
    Unlock crafting by finding at least one Fiber.
  • Added a spamming blocker to the in-game feedback system.
  • New Control Options:
    Gamepad sensitivity adjustment.
    Gamepad vertical invert toggle.
    Gamepad horizontal invert toggle.




[h3]Known Bugs:[/h3]

We are currently investigating an issue related to a FATAL ERROR application crash. While we don’t yet have a solution, we’re actively working on it and would greatly appreciate your help.

Small Hotfix for Germany localization
