Patchnotes Dungeon Clawler Demo Hotfix 0.2.2

Thanks for reporting all the bugs! We made a first small hotfix for the demo:

  • Increased the magnet strength of small magnets and the magnet claw by 50%
  • Fixed wrong names of clown and moth enemies
  • Fixed bug where you could add perks to the recycler
  • Fixed bug where the claw timer appeared in the reward room with bernie
  • Fixed bug where dead enemies awarded their coins multiple times
  • Fixed bug where Clawcula healed himself after he already died
  • Fixed crash when you and the enemy has a mirror buff and you attack with a debuff like a poison grenade
  • Fixed some minor translation issues
  • Fixed wrong symbols in japanese translation


The other reported bugs are not yet fixed, but will be looked at soon.

  • Fixed bug where the game was waiting for Items to be spawned, if there was no physical space left
  • Fixed bug where items left on the ledge counted towards the collected item count
  • Fixed bug where you could place a negative roulette bet
  • Fixed bug that holy shield did not reset your block
  • Fixed wrong chances to lose in the roulette room
  • Fixed bug that magnets have stronger attraction to items that are farther away
  • Fixed bug where items behaved very unstable when underwater
  • Fixed bug where resolution settings where not applied correctly

[h2]Improvements[/h2]
  • Improved performance if playing with a large amount of items
  • The perk reward room now has a different machine to get perks
  • There is a new resting room filled with coins and healthpots
  • Added Mouse support, so you can play without a keyboard
  • The Dropchance of new items is now modified based on the items you select after a fight.
  • Pachinko now has a reroll button

[h2]UI[/h2]
  • New icons to show if an item is stackable, upgradeable or ethereal (can only be collected once per fight)
  • Added Backpack to Map, so you can check your deck and stats
  • Deck and Stats can now be viewed when choosing a reward

[h2]Balancing[/h2]
  • Morningstar is now stronger, but rare
  • Playing Pachinko is now cheaper
  • Savings Account now only rewards a maximum of 100 coins
  • Battle Axe now first removes block before dealing damage
  • Sir Bunalot now starts each Turn with Block
  • Lord Squidula has been demoted to a normal boss and now has a different tactic

Demo Update, meet Scrappy!

Dear Clawlers

We just released an update for the Dungeon Clawler Demo on Steam!
The star of this update is undoubtedly our new character: Scrappy
Scrappy is very fond of magnets and all things metal, as you will soon find out for yourselves.



Aside from implementing character and item unlocks, we also added new items, item upgrades, perks and enemies as well as lots of UI improvements, balancing and bug fixes (such as the infamous int overflow bug). Check out the full patch notes here:

- Fixed bug where you could skip tiles by walking diagonally
- Fixed bug where the game was saved incorrectly and you had less health when loading the game
- Fixed bug where you got the same boss twice in a row
- Damage from spikes can no longer be reflected or dodged
- Healing Potions in reward rooms now correctly heal you

[h2]Balancing[/h2]
- Rebalanced values of all items and enemies, generally you get less block, more healing, but enemies deal a bit less damage. Please check out the new item overview inside the game to see all changes.
- Magnets no longer increase the damage of attracted items
- Removed Bonusclaw and Masterclaw Perks, claw upgrades will be handled differently in the future
- Waterbottle does no longer reset lava or poison water, instead it just fills the tank with the current liquid
- Balanced Coin Economy
- Perk satchels are a bit smaller and easier to grab

[h2]UI[/h2]
- Added new Section where you can see an overview over all items and perks
- Moved the How to Section to a separate screen
- Fixed various typos
- Coins are better visible while choosing a reward
- Applying Settings is now visually confirmed
- Renamed Recycler to Shredder to make its purpose clearer
- The game is now also translated to Japanese
- Added new gameover screen
- Rare items now look differently on the reward screen
