[/p][p]Finnish Air Force Day is celebrated on March 6th, the anniversary of the founding of the Finnish Air Force in 1918, when the first aircraft, a gift from Count Eric von Rosen, arrived in Vaasa. The holiday is primarily marked by ceremonies at air bases, including formations, awards and promotions, wreath-layings, and commemorative events.
