Chronomon December Update

Hello everyone and I hope you had a great last month! Here is the run down of everything done since then

Chronomon List

I spent the last 3 weeks since we spoke putting together the entire Chronomon list and man was it extensive. Here are some fun facts about our monsters!

There are a total of 117 Chronomon for release.
Over 4500 animation frames drawn
Over 200 skills drawn and created
Each monster has from 10-15 skills

ViceVale City (The 2nd city of 7)
I have a large portion of the main questline finished in ViceVale including the NPC schedules done. Vicevale is the envisionment of a post apocalypse, dystopian town full of grunge and vagrants.

Not only will Vicevale have diverse shops but its most prominent feature is the underground Arena. Here you can battle 1v1, 1v2 and 1v3 against the many trainers in the city and around Lumeneal. Think you can become #1?

This feature plays a minor role in the story but gives plenty of value for gaining EXP and rewards.

What's Next?
Well our Chronomon are still not finished! There is so much data that goes into making them just right from setting stats, coming up with fun description, when or how to level then balancing it all just right so the game progresses smoothly.

I'm currently in the process of updating a few menus and will stick my head back into the NPCs, schedules, quests and main story line. There is still so much to do! The planned release is in the middle of May, right when the Monster Taming fest happens on Steam. My goal is this will propel Chronomon like a slingshot into a top hit.

Anyways, thanks again for being there for me and I hope to bring you a game that provides hopefully years of gameplay!

Happy Holidays,
- Dev

Official Publisher Announcement!
Official Publisher Announcement!
Chronomon is officially joining forces with Freedom Games!

Stone Golem Studios and Freedom Games have banned together in the fight against the Epoch syndicate. We could also use the extra hand caring for the Chronomon on our farm as well ;)
Let's break down the hows and the why.
I threw a large net to find the perfect publisher. While many of them were good at what they do, I was looking for one that specialized in Monster Tamers, as we know Chronomon is. It was a close race but after seeing how well they managed Coromon, I couldn't shake that Freedom games was the clear winner. Not just that, their team makes you feel right at home. It's not business as usual, you become family, keep your game rights and they respect my direction... no questions asked.

For those of you who may not know, having a game publisher like Freedom Games greatly helps indie developers focus on game development while they handle all the behind-the-scenes magic. From helping manage store pages to crafting marketing campaigns and even helping the game shine at both digital and live events, publishers help in all the aspects that indie developers often struggle with.

I am not a marketing guru in any sense. Just look at my social media followers lol. What I'm good at is making games and thought it wise to leave the marketing to the experts.
What makes us different and how to stay involved
I strive to be a different type of developer and think the #1 way to do this is by involving the community. I'm NOT making this game so I can enjoy it (although I rather do). I'm making this game so YOU will enjoy it.

If your interested in Chronomon, I ask that you join our discord where we decided on features, small and large. We hold regular community polls that actually get implemented in game. If you write me a message on socials, I will respond. Leave a review, I personally answer. Chronomon is built by you and the more people that join in, the better the game becomes. Hope to see you there!

Demo Update 1.014 - Monster Controls and more

Hello everyone! A new demo update just pushed through on Mobile(Pending review) and PC (Available) adding one of my most anticipated features, Monster Controls! Let's dive in.

Update 1.014
Monster Controls
From our last updates I mentioned wanting this game to have a deeper connection with your Chronomon, not just battling so now you have the ability to directly control them on the map.

Control - Move your monster around the map
Swap - between the player and your monsters to solve puzzles
Stay - Tell your monster to stay while you roam away from them
Call - Call your monster back to your position
Skills - Use your skills directly on the map, no battles needed. Cut down trees, surf, etc.
Monsters have the ability to directly fight on the map by themselves. Now when in control you can't use items or swap to other monsters. This will make for what I believe to be some very interesting scenarios.

Trainers
Trainers have officially been added to the map! Trainer battles, like others consist of multiple monsters and give you Chrons (Money - btw if this is a bad word due to Chrons disease please let me know) afterwards. All battles including trainers happen directly on the map as well.

Wild Monsters
Wild monsters now spawn on the map and have their own personalities.

Scared - These monsters will run from you. When you get close they shiver in fear... but never fret, feeding them will make them like you.
Aloof - These mons don't care at all. They won't run or attack.
Angry - These will chase you if you get too close with either the player or monster in control.
Monsters now spawn on the map naturally randomly. When battling, if you lose they will stay on the map as well and chase you down. The player only unalives when attacked with no healthy Chronomon.

Other Updates
There is a huge list and full update log on Discord if your interested but i'll sum them up here really quick. We have a massive improvement in overall systems fixing various (or many) bugs. A huge amount of QOL changes have been added as well. Many new monsters have been added along with some new quests. One of which opening up a sewer and a boss! Beware however. The sewer is a dangerous slime filled labrinth. hint Bring a fire or electric monster with you, they glow in the dark =)

Other News and Development
As we close the chapter on this last update it's time to move forward on building out the actual game. Don't worry though, soooo many new features will be coming. We haven't touched the tip of it =)

Our map has been built out and will have over 200 massive maps on it. Twice the size of early gen Pokemon games.

Please let me know your thoughts and again thank you for being with me here on this journey!
