Patch 1.0.2

[p]Hi, we have a new set of changes to address the feedback we've been seeing since the release day, mostly about the difficulty this time.[/p][p][/p][h3]Changes[/h3]
  • [p]All traits with bonuses at 4/8 and 3/6/9 points now have their bonuses at 3/5/7 points.[/p]
  • [p]Trait masteries were rebalanced to make them all more powerful overall, with their unique bonuses requiring less points to start being applied, so their power is also more frontloaded.[/p]
  • [p]Traits from masteries are now Lucky, meaning that character rewards at bonfires now roll 2 times for each trait, taking any trait from a mastery first. This is also communicated in a tooltip in-game. The intention is to increase the chances of actually finding the mastery trait in a run if you have it equipped.[/p]
  • [p]Using a Regret now highlights the trait that will be rerolled in a bright red color, both in the tooltip and the team traits.[/p]
  • [p]Added missing translations to all languages.[/p]
[p][/p][h3]Character Changes[/h3]
  • [p]The Brawler and Viking now deal +20% damage with their skill. The Viking now also has 100% Health Steal on Hit with his skill instead of just 60%.[/p]
  • [p]The Hippie and Witch Doctor now apply +20% more Poison.[/p]
  • [p]Muertocho now applies -30% less Soul Steal.[/p]
  • [p]Cursantula, Snappet and Goorm now deal -15% damage with their skills.[/p]
  • [p]Executaur, Pharapodos and Nekromantis now deal -20% damage with their skills.[/p]
  • [p]Cleonix no longer targets the highest level enemies when using her Charm and Petrify skills.[/p]
  • [p]Wendarko now has a limit of 2 uses for his skill in a given combat.[/p]
  • [p]Omen (Phase 1) now deals -30% damage with her skills. Her bouncing projectile now targets 1 less enemy and requires 1 more second before firing.[/p]
  • [p]Omen (Phase 2 / Meno) now deals -15% damage with her AoE skill.[/p]
  • [p]Omen (Phase 3) now deals -15% damage with her orbiting fires skill.[/p]
  • [p]Edict (Phase 2) now deals -25% damage with his "on attack" trigger skill. He now also heals -40% with his healing skill.[/p]
  • [p]Edict (Phase 3) now requires +2 seconds before his slow moving projectiles trigger, and those now deals -15% damage too. His AoE skill now applies -25% Burn.[/p]
  • [p]Remnant (Phase 1) now requires +1 attack for his Shock skill to trigger.[/p]
  • [p]Remnant (Phase 3) now requires +2 seconds before his orbiting wings trigger.[/p]
  • [p]Hunt (Phase 2) now requires +2 seconds before his Hidden skill triggers.[/p]
  • [p]Beyond (Phase 2) now applies -30% Chill with his AoE skill.[/p]
[p][/p][h3]Fixes[/h3]
  • [p]Fixed being able to equip the same mastery multiple times by dragging the equipped mastery.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the mastery slots of zone 4 not unlocking until you win the entire zone. You now correctly get 1 slot per map completed.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where the demo challenges were being applied here in the base game if you had them enabled in the demo.[/p]
[p][/p][p]The update will delete your currently saved run if you open the game in the new version due to some of the changes made not working with previous save files anymore. You can safely finish any saved run in your current version and update afterwards.[/p][p][/p][p]We'll keep looking here on Steam and on our Discord for any feedback you share! We do want the game to be challenging, but that doesn't mean we can't improve the overall balance of the game, especially while you progress the zones.[/p][p][/p][p]We're still working on a few other features we want to add asap, like the 3 I mentioned in my post from yesterday, but there's also many more cool suggestions we've been hearing from your feedback.[/p][p][/p][p]That's it for this patch notes, thanks for all the feedback, and have fun in the Underboard![/p]

1.0 Patch 1

[p]Hi, it's been amazing seeing all the new players and their reactions to the new content! We've been looking at everyone's feedback since the release yesterday and wanted to announce some of the changes and fixes we've made.[/p][p][/p][h3]Changes[/h3]
  • [p]Winning the tutorial now shows a message stating you can now play normal runs from the main menu, with a button to exit.[/p]
  • [p]The abandon button in the pause menu now shows a tooltip on hover stating how saving a run works. There was already a save/load feature and we talk about it as part of the tutorial, so this is mostly about remembering and clarifying when you need it most.[/p]
  • [p]The difficulty modifier for zone levels was reduced by 30%. This means that zones from the Radiant Sands onwards will receive a lesser difficulty increase compared to the Shadow Woods.[/p]
  • [p]Reduced the damage done by Raminati's Holy Thunder skill by 30%.[/p]
  • [p]Zone bosses now start with ~15% reduced Maximum Health in phase 1, ramping up to their previous amount by phase 3.[/p]
[p][/p][h3]Fixes[/h3]
  • [p]Fixed a bug that was causing the game to freeze after crossing the portal towards map 4.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug related to the Charm debuff that was causing combats to last forever instead of ending when a team lost all their characters.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where losing against the zone boss on the fourth zone was freezing the game instead of the usual run lost transition.[/p]
[p][/p][p]Please keep sharing your feedback with us! As we said in the release post, we want to keep updating the game for a long time, and big updates with a lot of new content and features will come for sure, but right now we want to solve any release issues first.[/p][p][/p][p]Some key pieces of feedback or sugestions we've heard from players are:[/p]
  • [p]A way to flee from hard combats, even if it's at a cost.[/p]
  • [p]A way to force one of your characters to target a specific enemy, especially for when the enemy positioning makes it impossible to make your characters focus on a specific enemy using positioning alone.[/p]
  • [p]A way to speed up even more the combats that last for too long.[/p]
[p]We've been discussing those and we think we have good ideas for implementing them, so you can expect more on that later.[/p][p][/p][p]Lastly, if you've been enjoying the game and want to see more from us, please consider leaving an early review, it would really help us right now during the release days. Official Release & Future Plans!

[p]Underboard finally releases on Steam and you can now play all 4 zones of the game![/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Four Playable Zones[/h3][p]In the demo only the first zone was playable, the Shadow Woods. Now you can play runs in 4 different zones, each with their own challenges to conquer. At the end of each run you'll have to fight against a pinnacle boss, beat them to unlock the next one and find more about the Underboard's mysteries.[/p][p][/p][p]If your team is strong enough, you'll have the chance of fighting even stronger versions of the pinnacle bosses and discover more about them and the Underboard![/p][p][/p][h3]Future Plans[/h3][p]We're excited to start seeing people go through the new content, but of course, we'll be listening to player feedback about any bugs, balance or translation issues, as well as any suggestions about what would you like to see changed or added to the game. So you can expect us to patch any issue like that in the following days.[/p][p][/p][p]After 2 whole years of monthly updates this may sound weird, but this is only the beginning for us. This release represents the core of what we wanted to do, but we have a lot more things we want to add and improve.[/p][p][/p][p]We want to keep updating the game for a long time, but we also like when those updates are pretty big and significant, to the point where it feels like you want to come back for a while to play with all the new things. This is why we'll be moving on from monthly updates and instead we'll aim for a few months so that we can make each update as big as possible while keeping a good release cadence, but of course, we'll still fix any smaller issues as they come. We'll be letting you know when we have more details on the next big update, but it will most likely be about "endgame" runs![/p][p][/p][p]If you have any feedback about the game the best way to let us know anything is through the Steam discussions or our Discord server, so choose whatever works best for you, and have fun on the Underboard![/p]

0.23 Hotfix 1

[h3]Fixes[/h3]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where the usual 20 damage to player Life when losing a combat was not being dealt. Runs with this bug where impossible to lose since you were left with a permanent 1 Life at least. Combats now correctly deal their base 20 Life damage when you fail.[/p]
