The Coffin of Andy and Leyley News

Devlog 04

The game has now been in development for five months. Five months!!! Good god......

Nothing too special to share this time, so here are some details of the story format and its progress.

I'm fairly confident the full game should include three new episodes. Two of which are going to be different branches of episode 3.

  • Episode 1 - Finished
  • Episode 2 - Semi Finished (playable with some placeholder art + missing audio)
  • Episode 3A - About 10% done.
  • Episode 3B - ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
*NOTE - This doesn't mean episodic release. The full game will include all episodes.

I intend for both branches to have two endings each. And no, I'm not counting game-overs as endings.

Episode lengths vary greatly, so a release date estimate is still impossible.

Dialogue text for those using a translator:
- Aw yeah! Harder, Andy!
- What the f**k is going on over there!?
- Oh, it's mom...

Until next time!

Devlog 03

Progress is still good. There is currently 3 hours of content and growing...

The game is at the point where the common route splits into different branches. It's hard to estimate where the development progress is at exactly. Maybe it's a little over halfway done, possibly?

Somehow this is becoming a rather large thing. I will certainly miss the story once it's done, but right now it is a lot to handle. Doable for sure, but a lot nonetheless.

All in all, things are still looking fine and on schedule. I'll announce the release date once I'm certain of when the game will be done.

Here are some random screenshots as usual. (Balancing the boring to spoiler ratio on these is increasingly difficult...)

So, there's your "U-huh, still on it" of the month.

Merry Midsummer / Summer Solstice!

Devlog 02

All is well, and a lot of progress was made.
At this point, there isn't much one can share without it being spoilers.

There's more puzzles now! Someone far smarter than me is helping me with them, which is nice. They're still lightweight though, as advertised.

The more involved puzzles will be featured mostly in a realm that lies between the human and demon world.

If the discussion section is anything to go by, you're not here for the puzzles anyway. You probably want updates on what kind of routes the game has to offer. I want to spoil it so much!!!!!! I want to tell you what kind of endings there are!!! But I cannot. You must find out for yourselves when the game is out.

I do believe you'll like the variety of outcomes. Though some of you will intensely despise them.

It'll be quite the crapshow, I'm sure... Look forward to it!

Anyhow, I leave you with these.

Thank you for your continued enthusiasm.
Take care!

Demo Release + Devlog Stuff

The demo version of The Coffin of Andy and Leyley is now on Steam!

Your saved games in this demo will carry over to the full game.

As for the development of the full game, it is going well!
Here are some screenshots of what's to come:

In the full game you play as both Ashley and Andrew, as they maneuver the situation they've gotten themselves into.

More murder, cannibalism, and questionable bonding to come. Yes, the story only gets worse from here.
But since there will be multiple endings to discover, maybe you'll find a happy one somewhere in there too.

Many thanks for your support towards this awful little story. It has been a delight.

More updates to come later!
