Mythical Mayhem 2025 May Update

Endless Campaign Game

I am currently working away planning one of the most requested features for Mythical Mayhem the Endless Campaign. This is going to be released as part of the main game at no additional charge. Quite a few things will be similar to the main campaign but there will be differences. It will not have campaign balance and it will not have an overarching story focus, the story focus will be quite light. There will still be Side Stories, Market, Campaign Commerce, Choices for Quest rewards. I will be introducing a new campaign resources and deck manipulation will play a bigger role. Hopefully the Endless Campaign will be able to be released towards the end of summer. It's initial state that it releases will be built in a way that is fully playable but with most things could possible be improved upon in later updates.


DLC Pandemonium Portals Update

Pandemonium Portals is the 3rd planned DLC for Mythical Mayhem. The plan is Pandemonium Portals will release the at the same time as the Endless Campaign update; you will not need Pandemonium Portals to play the Endless Campaign but it will have some features that will play into that update as well as some standard items that work similar to the other DLCs like new campaign quests, new heroes, new arch villains, new foe sets and new minions along with other new items. Price will likely be similar to Twisting Sands.


Future of Mythical Mayhem

After the Endless Campaign and Pandemonium Portals is released their will likely be a minor break and also we might have 1 or 2 minor updates if required, to fix any game issues. As always any reported bugs will be fixed as soon as possible. Looking further ahead towards the end of 2025 I will look to do a smaller DLC possible the pirates themed one. After that into 2026 I still have ideas for a few more DLCs so we will see where things end up. Also Mythical Mayhem has 3 items I would love to see: 1 different video resolution support. 2 Support for localization. 3. Multi-Player. I have investigated these items in depth and despite me wanting all of these features the reality is Mythical Mayhem will most likely never have any of them. I don't like to deal in absolutes but the reality is any these features would have needed to be designed from the start; who knows maybe someday I might develop a Mythical Mayhem 2 but that is still just an idea for the future. As always I plan to continue to monitor and remain actively engaged with all Fans of Mythical Mayhem (on the steam boards and Mythical Mayhem Discord).

Enhancements
  • If you have the Burning wheel Camping feature it will now show an icon located on the hero deck during matches
  • Many Text improvements


Bug Fixes
  • Ebony Mystic Dance Card “Twisting Sands : Draws a Card” now triggers properly
  • Repair the City quest will not be randomly selected with an Arch Villain of Overlord of the Wylds when doing a full random custom scenario
  • Doctor Altorans card The Cure should now give a wound to hand
  • Kharnins Battlewright card and Elithriel Moonvales Twilight Enchantment now properly trigger the Relic requirement for the Ritual of Warding and Retrieve the Relic quests.
  • In the campaign market Draught of Midnight now shows the proper card
  • Add Attack against rats would sometimes not trigger properly if there was a ratcatcher in play
  • Ratcatchers power Rat Signs should now function properly
  • Sasha Nobody Quits power will no longer increase the attack on some cards twice
  • Enhance Trade and Enhance Warfare opportunities should now show up the proper frequency in the campaign market
  • Enhance Trade and Enhance Warfare opportunities should no longer wound one of your campaign heroes when purchased

May is Mayhem Month

A few items will be released over the next few days in May.

First the game will have a major discount (and all DLCs minor discounts) which will be ongoing for the next 13 days.

Next we will be releasing a patch with some minor bug fixes.

Lastly stay tuned for another exciting news release with some details of the endless Campaign Feature that is being added to base game for free along with news on the next Mythical Mayhem expansion.

  • Fixed an issue for properly determining and moving foes to left of a foe when in checking the Crypts and Dark Alley

1st Year Anniversary
It's been 1 year since Mythical Mayhem released from early access. Thanks to everyone whom has shared the journey. To celebrate this achievement I have added a little bit of new content and the game will be on sale for a week. Stay tuned for what is planned next as I continue to expand on Mythical Mayhem.
