Path of Exile: Crucible Launches Soon

Path of Exile: Crucible launches soon! In this news post, we've gathered all the information you need to know about what happens on launch day and how to start downloading early.

The realm goes down and patching begins at: 10am April 7th PDT
The servers go live at: 1pm April 7th PDT

If you are unsure, please refer to the countdown on the front page. Three hours before the end of the countdown, the realm will go down and patching will begin shortly after. When the countdown ends, the servers will be live and you'll be able to join the Crucible League!

The patch size for the update will be around 8.5GB on the standalone client and 8.5GB on Steam.

This is also your last chance to get Sanctum Mystery Boxes! It will leave the store when our next Mystery Box becomes available! Keep in mind that if you haven't taken advantage of it yet, it's still possible to get one free Sanctum Mystery Box when you spend any amount of points in the store. NOTE: this is only possible once per account. Additional purchases do not grant additional mystery boxes. If you need some extra points, we recommend checking out the new Crucible Supporter Packs.

Crucible Boss Kill Event

To celebrate the launch of Crucible, we're hosting a Boss Kill Event where Path of Exile players can compete to kill the Uber Eater of Worlds and Searing Exarch in Crucible Ruthless Hardcore Solo Self-found mode.

Prizes are awarded to the first three players who defeat both The Uber Eater of Worlds and The Uber Searing Exarch.

If there are operational problems with the event (like significant realm stability issues at launch), Grinding Gear Games may restart the event at any point. The way we will do this is to create a new event league and indicate that players who wish to compete in the new event must make new characters there.
Players who migrate from a private league to the event league during the event are ineligible for prizes.
Placings and prize eligibility are entirely at the discretion of Grinding Gear Games.
While the event being SSF reduces a lot of scope for outside help, any form of account sharing (or other breaches of the Terms of Use) will disqualify a player from receiving prizes.
Grinding Gear Games Employees (past or present) are not eligible for prizes.
Players who have played on the Alpha realm since March 30th 2023 (when the expansion was first deployed) are not eligible for prizes.
You must kill both bosses on a single character. Accumulating kills between characters, or using multiple characters to kill a boss will not count.
Dying or migrating your character out of the league doesn't remove prize eligibility as long as the kill occurred while in the league.

Crucible Challenge Rewards

In the upcoming Crucible League, you'll be able to earn pieces of the exclusive Chaosborn Armour Set by completing 40 new challenges. At 4, 6, 8 and 10 challenges, you'll receive the Chaosborn Boots, Gloves, Helmet and Body Armour respectively.

In Ruthless, you will receive the full Chaosborn Armour Set at 2 challenges, and each challenge completed after that will upgrade pieces of the set with the entire set fully upgraded once 8 challenges are completed.

Additional tiers of this armour set are unlocked as you complete more challenges in the Crucible League. The final tier of the Chaosborn Armour Set includes both Tiers 4 and 5 when unlocked. Both tiers are the same visually, but Tier 5 has the armour set's voice lines enabled and Tier 4 has them disabled. You can change the armour set's tiers in the "Cosmetics" tab in your inventory (bound to 'K' by default). You must have the tier unlocked to be able to set it to that tier. Completing challenges also grants you pieces of the Crucible Totem Pole Hideout decoration!

You'll be able to check out the full list of challenges you need to complete for these rewards when Path of Exile: Crucible launches for PC and Mac on April 7th PDT and for console on April 12th PDT.

All Path of Exile Crucible gems revealed for PoE patch 3.21

We now know all the new skill gems in Path of Exile Crucible, thanks to an update from developer Grinding Gear Games. While some of the new Vaal skills coming with Path of Exile patch 3.21 were shown off during the initial reveal stream for the next big PoE update, we now get to see all of them along with several new support gems and all the other updated gems included in the RPG game's Crucible patch.

New and Changed Gems in Path of Exile: Crucible

In the Crucible expansion, we've introduced several new support and Vaal gems and made some changes to existing ones. As usual, we've prepared the gem data at level 20 with 20% quality for all new and changed gems to help you theorycraft your builds for the upcoming launch.
