Screenshot Competition Highlights

Last week we launched the Screenshot Competition where we encouraged our community to take nice-looking or just funny Path of Exile screenshots. Since screenshots are an artform that anyone can partake of, we've already received hundreds of good submissions. Today we're showcasing some of them.

We'll continue publishing the competition highlights in the following weeks. Thanks to everyone who has submitted their screenshots so far!

Community Showcase

Since the launch of the Delirium expansion, our players have not only been actively playing the league, but also expressing their talents in the form of Path of Exile-themed fan art! Check out the recent submissions from our community creators below.

This Weekend's Community Race Event Results

This weekend our community ran an event where experienced Path of Exile racers competed in the SSFHC Delirium League to reach Level 80. If you watched the action live on Twitch, then you already know the winners and how tough the competition was! If you enjoy watching Path of Exile speedrunning but you missed the broadcast, here are the videos for you to check out:

You can find more VODs and clips in a race summary thread here published by Brittleknee.

We'd like to thank Kammell and everyone who was involved for arranging such events for the community. Since Kammell recently announced his retirement from creating such events, we just wanted to extend a special thanks for all of his contributions to the racing community to date. He's had a lot of involvement in making it what it is today. We wish him all the best.

Method Rush Race Season and Kammell's Community Race Event

Method, a well-known esports organisation, has recently announced a Path of Exile 'Rush' Race Season which starts on April 25th! The 4-day event features 11 separate boss rushes where players have to start at level 1 and fight their way through to the selected boss. The winners will share the cash prize pool of $4200.

Here is the full Event schedule:
  • Qualifier: April 25th at 8am PDT
  • Day 1 of Season: April 26th at 8am PDT
  • Day 2 of Season: May 1st at 8am PDT
  • Day 3 of Season: May 2nd at 8am PDT

The Qualifier event is open for everybody with Path of Exile race background. If you'd like to join this race season or find out more information, check out Method's official announcement here. Casting will be done by RaizQT and Octavian. Each race day will be on www.twitch.tv/Method.

Additionally, this weekend a race enthusiast from our community, Kammell, has arranged a new event for skilled Path of Exile racers. On Saturday (PDT) players will compete in the SSFHC league to reach Level 80. The event will take place in Delirium and will otherwise be modless. The race will be over when the third person reaches Level 80. There's a cash prize pool on the line, funded by Kammell himself.

You can find out the list of participants in Kammell's forum thread here. The event will begin at 12pm Saturday April 18th (PDT). Casting will be done by ZiggyD, Octavian and Brittleknee live on Twitch!

While these are not officially-supported events, we're pleased to encourage the community to run events and engage in the competitive side of Path of Exile!

How to Enter
Just simply take a screenshot in Path of Exile and post your entry to this thread! Your screenshot can contain any in-game content, from intense monster encounters and epic boss fights to gloomy Wraeclast sceneries and cozy hideouts. Your submission will be judged based on its artistic composition, colouring, lighting and how well it represents Path of Exile. If your submission is not artistic then it should be entertaining or thought provoking.

To submit a screenshot, upload it to an image hosting site like imgur.com. To make the image visible in the post, paste the direct link to it in the post. Highlight the link in your post and click the "IMG" button at the top.

Conditions
  • The competition will run from the time of this post until Monday the 4th of May at 9am NZT (3rd of May at 2pm PDT). Submissions made after this time will not be counted. We'll post the winners sometime in the following days.
  • Any screenshot that is submitted must be your own and must be created after the launch of this competition.
  • Try to minimise the amount of UI shown if possible (i.e. item hovers, life/mana numbers, health bars, un-levelled-up gems, the F1 latency display, etc).
  • Multiple submissions are welcome.
  • It's okay to use photoshop to fix tiny problems with the image, but please don't manipulate the screenshots to the extent that they look different than the game does.
  • The image shouldn't need a caption or text explanation to be understood.
  • Please only participate in the competition if you're happy for us to use your screenshot for promotional purposes in the future.

Best of luck everyone! We can't wait to see what you come up with.
