Patch 0.6.10

Greetings Champions! Dropping a small update with some fixes and improvements. Here is a full rundown of the changes:

GENERAL
  • Some abilities were not properly multi-casting, either with the Celestial Gifts within its tree or with the Multicast Stat Upgrade. It’s working now! (i.e. more firepower!)
  • Reduced the amount of enemies spawning, especially in the late game and final boss encounters, where the amount of enemies were overwhelming. Should feel more controlled now.
  • in an effort to improve situational awareness while playing, we increased the camera distance to the player, so more of the playing field is visible. Should improve overall clarity and visibility (still a work in progress).
  • Added a gameplay setting to automatically open the gift selection window during gameplay. Note: This will automatically slow down the game in single player.
  • The Communication Satellite defenses received an upgrade! It'll be more perilous now to get close.
  • Continued fixes with colliders in some of the stages. These will be continually fixed as the issues are found.

Champion Shift 0.6.8 Patch Notes

Greetings Champions!
We are super excited to bring you the long awaited update to our in-game missions! Here is a detailed breakdown of everything going on in this patch, which features some content, lots of fixes, re-balancing and everything in between:

NEW MISSIONS
We added 4 new mission types, which will bring new mechanics and challenges to your runs.

Spy Drone - a Dominion drone has been spotted, he is pretty fast! Catch up to him and destroy it.
Demolition - the Dominion has constructed missile emplacements, which you need to destroy with bombs scattered across the map
Artifact Retrieval - retrieve the mysterious objects being held captive by Dominion forces, and deliver them to The Hand.
Control Points - hold off against waves of enemies as you fight to dominate control points scattered through the map


NEW BOSS FIGHT TR-3Y: Brace yourself for this deadly new Dominion creation, a formidable new adversary awaiting your arrival, armed to the teeth and ready to test your skills.


CHAMPIONS RE-BALANCE
After a month of having the Champions out in the wild and gathering valuable data and feedback, we're reworking their stats. A big thank you to all our players who have enjoyed Champion Shift so far; we've been listening, and more adjustments and features are on the way. For now, we'll be adjusting the Champions' stats to reduce the dramatic swings between their highs and lows. The floor for a champion's base initial stats will be set at 80%, and the ceiling at 120%. This change will allow us to implement things like curses to lower some stats, and also bring some buffs under control. We still want players to find ways to optimize their stats, but it will now require a bit more effort. This isn't the only modification to Champions; there's another change we'll be making in a future update. Apart from their weapons, stats are another way we differentiate between one champion and another. The goal is to cater to different playstyles, such as precision players and those who prefer a Area based approach.

ARTHUR

- Weapon DMG decreased to 85% from 100%
- ATK Speed increased to 90% from 85%
- Crit Chance increased to 1% from 0%
- Crit DMG increased to 150% from 125%
- Velocity Increased to 80% from 75%
- Area decreased to 110% from 125%
- Duration decreased to 120% from 150%

ATHENA

- Weapon DMG decreased to 110% from 120%
- Crit Chance increased to 1% from 0%
- Velocity decreased to 110% from 120%
- Area increased to 90% from 75%%

GILGAMESH

- ATK Speed increased to 80% from 75%
- Crit Chance increased to 1% from 0%
- Crit DMG decreased to 165% from 200%
- Recovery Increased to 80% from 70%
- Velocity increased to 90% from 80%
- Area reduced to 120% from 150%
- Duration increased to 100% from 50%
- Knockback decreased to 8 from 10

TOMOE

- Weapon DMG decreased to 120% from 150%
- ATK Speed increased to 85% from 75%
- Crit DMG increased to 150% from 140%
- Velocity decreased to 115% from 15%
- Area decreased to 95% from 100%
- Duration increased to 100% from 50%

VEGIGANTE

- Increased Base Power to 11 from 10
- Weapon DMG increased to 60% from 50%
- ATK Speed decreased to 120% from 130%
- Crit Chance increased to 1% from 0%
- Recovery decreased to 110% from 115%
- Area increased to 85% from 75%
- Duration decreased to 120% from 140%
- Multicast increased to 110% from 105%

WUKONG

- Weapon DMG increased to 80% from 70%
- Crit Chance increased to 1% from 0%
- Recovery decreased to 100% from 110%
- Velocity decreased to 100% from 110%
- Area decreased to 95% from 100%
- Duration increased to 90% from 80%

General bug fixes and improvements, including performance and UI improvements across the board. We continue to optimize loading times and frame rate across all devices.

We added 4 new mission types and a new boss battle, which will bring new mechanics and challenges to your runs. Here is a rundown of the new content:

Champion Shift 0.6.7 Patch Notes

Hello Champions!

Got a ton of fixes and improvements for you today, including our resident best boy, the Chupacabra, and a new starting Celestial Gift, the WINGS OF QUETZALCOATL, which is sure to create more havoc with its tornado creating powers. Also, the power of invincibility when you revive, because getting nuked the instant you do is well... let's just leave it at not fun, shall we? Anyway... we also have some balancing and quality of life improvements, so make sure to check it out below!

[h3]GENERAL[/h3]
  • New starting Celestial Gift: WINGS OF QUETZALCOATL
    • DIVINE WIND - Unleash a swirling gust of wind that slowly moves across the battlefield, dealing 50% DMG [+25% per level] for 5 seconds.
    • RESPLENDENT WINGS - Increase DURATION by 2 seconds per level and passing through tornadoes reduces DASH cooldown and applies a brief AGILITY boost.
    • COATL'S BREATH - Increase the size of the Serpent's Breath by 30% AREA [+15% per level] and enemies killed by it release fast moving wind projectiles that deal 50% DMG.
  • Vejigante's Chupacabra ability is now back in the game.
  • Champions now have 2 seconds of invincibility after reviving.
  • Fixed an issue with Origata, Moon Beam, Falcon of the Sun and Chakram where their formulas weren't calculating damage correctly.
  • New visual for when the champion is not able to shift into vehicle form.
  • Fixed issues with champion and vehicle colliders.
  • Fixed the Health Celestial Gift description to correctly indicate 200 HP (It always gave 200, but the description was incorrect).
  • Fixed Starfire Arrows from sometimes not firing.
  • Fixed a bug with the Earth Elite stone pillar visual spawning in a different area (Invisible stones be damned!).
  • Missions should now spawn enemies that are more specific for the current stage.
  • Fixed scroll sensitivity in the user interface with controller.
  • New lore descriptions for some Celestial Gifts, providing more insight into the inner workings of the Dominion Corporation.
  • Rabbit's Elixir duration is now properly affected by the DURATION stat.
  • Fixed Vejigante's car speed formula.
  • Gilgamesh's Sunburst description should now correctly display the amount of MULTICAST it gives.
  • More collider fixes to Mountain Pass South and Magma Cave.

[h3]BALANCING[/h3]
CELESTIAL GIFTS THE LEGEND OF CHANG'E overall has been out performing other celestial gifts due to its (pretty awesome) buffing capabilities, so we're toning it down to bring it back to its intended level of power.

GODDESS OF THE MOON
  • Reduced initial block chance to 10% (down from 15%).
MOON BEAM
  • Reduced the damage to 30% & 15% per level (down from 40% and 20% per level).
RABBIT'S ELIXIR
  • Reduced buff duration to 3 seconds (down from 5 seconds).
  • Reduced the AREA buff to +50% (down from +100%).
AREA STAT GIFT We're taking a close look at AREA and will be tweaking it further over the next few weeks. We're all for "Breaking the Game", but not your PCs and eyes!
  • Reduced the amount of stacks you can have of this Gift to 4 (down from 10).

[h3]MISSIONS[/h3]
CELESTIAL RIFTS
  • Reduced the minimum amount of elite enemies that spawn to 2 on stage 1, increasing by 1 each stage. The actual amount spawned will depend on the amount of enemies currently alive in the stage.
INFESTATION
  • Increased spawn amount by 15%.
  • Added large enemies to the mission spawner.

[h3]ENEMIES[/h3]
  • Mini Boss (Large enemies) spawn rate reduction:
  • Increased the cost of Mini-Bosses to 100 (up from 60).
  • Increased the cost of Elite Mini-Bosses to 500 (up from 300).
  • Reduced the spawn rate of ranged enemies.
With the new vehicle stat gifts and upgrades, such as CAPACITY and REGEN, energy stayed near 100% for most of the run, making it a useless resource, which is not intended. This change should be a step in the right direction to make vehicle energy a valuable resource that shouldn't be taken for granted (I see you turret XP farmers ;) ). If you want to make a vehicle-heavy run, you can still do so, but you wont be able to wholly ignore energy anymore!
  • Doubled enemy collision damage.

[h3]VEHICLES[/h3]
This change is temporary until we implement a more robust solution to the magnet. It should help with the frustrations of losing XP or having to go back to pick it up when moving at faster speeds.
  • Increased vehicle pick-up magnet by 25%.
