Guards II News #20. Soundtrack is on a way.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

Hello there,

We are in the final stages of completing the game's development. Technically, the game is ready. Our programmer has been focused on optimizing the game's performance over the last month, and now they're assisting the artist in creating impressive credits.

For the past two months, we've been working on the soundtrack, and we've completed 7 out of 13 tracks. We've decided to share one of these tracks on YouTube, and we're excited to showcase it. It's really cool!

Localization has also been completed. On the day of release, the game will be available in 12 languages, thanks to all the people who helped us with translations. Their names will be featured in the credits. Speaking of which, we've designed some really cool credits that we'll be revealing in the next update.

The game release is coming soon!

Guards II News #19. Story and Comics.

Hello there,

We are diligently preparing the game for release, and this month marked the completion of the story comics. Initially not part of the plan, we later decided to incorporate them because they significantly enhance the game's atmosphere. While it may be unconventional to finalize the story after the game is developed, we dedicated our best efforts, and I believe we succeeded.

The first three comics featured in this announcement serve as intro comics, appearing right after the start to explain the initial events. Additionally, there is a comic after the completion of each world and an extra special comic at the end of the game.

We initially aimed to use neural networks, but we couldn't achieve the desired results. So, our artist spent 2.5 months creating them in the old-school way. While it consumed a significant amount of time, we believe the effort will prove worthwhile

Guard's translation into 12 languages is underway, with completion reached for 8 languages. We anticipate wrapping up the entire translation process by January.

The programmer and artist are diligently working on small enhancements for the game. These improvements mainly focus on refining the user interface and enhancing the overall visual appeal.

Our game designer has meticulously prepared the entire game for sound design, planning all the necessary sounds. Currently, our sound designer is actively working on them and has already completed 50%. We expect the entire sound design process to conclude by January as well.

Currently, two composers are working on the game's music. While we have one final track completed, there are eight tracks in progress. Crafting music is a meticulous task that cannot be rushed, and our composers are putting forth their best efforts. They began their work later than expected due to their prior commitments to Age of Defense.

In other positive news, our mate Berke, initially asked to assist with Turkish translation, found the game incredibly interesting and managed to complete the entire game in 5-6 days, including Mode #2. This makes him our first full completionist, underscoring the game's engaging nature. Furthermore, he identified only two bugs, both of which we promptly fixed. Technically, the game is now in a perfect state.

Let's look forward to January when we aim to wrap up the remaining tasks.
Happy Nуw Year!

Guards II News #18. Pre-final screenshots

Hello there,

We are progressing with the development of the game. We have planned to translate the game into 12 languages, and we are pleased to announce that we have found the last person who will assist with the translation. As a result, we are currently awaiting the completion of the translation process for Guards II. Currently, five languages have already been finished.

As mentioned earlier, the game is essentially ready. All missions, upgrades, and other elements are functioning and available for play. Currently, our focus is on testing the game with players, who provide valuable feedback, enabling us to enhance and refine the gaming experience. That is our current focus.

In addition to translation, we are now in need of sounds and music. Two composers are actively working on the game's soundtrack, and we third person is making the sound design for us.

Therefore, we eagerly await the completion of translation, sounds, and music to proceed with planning the game release.

We have recently uploaded new screenshots, showcasing the significant evolution of the game since our last update. These represent a pre-final version of the game, and the final release will have a similar appearance.

What are your thoughts? Does it look good?
