Now, if I can just pull a Jack, I can plonk down the King Of Space And Time for a brutal finisher. That’ll transfer everything on my side over to my opponent’s, forcing a bust for a nice final chunk of hurt and…

Now live: 0.21d of the demo!

  • reduces the wait time before you can interact with the cards on the title screen
  • moves the loading indicator to the left side so that the Steam Community pop up doesn't cover it
  • fixes a bug where I The Magician would cause a crash if played twice in the same encounter
  • XVII The Star now deals Quick Damage - this fixes a bug where the game would softlock if Get Well Soon Card's healing was triggered at the end of the round while XVII The Star was in play
  • fixes a number of cards that had slightly wrong colours for some parts of their borders
  • changes references to "draw" (as in equal scores) to "tie"
  • improves touch screen input for Steam Deck users
  • lots of improvements to the Simplified and Traditional Chineses localisations

New deckbuilding roguelike is blackjack Balatro, and it has a demo

Balatro isn't just a standout deckbuilding roguelike, it's easily going to be one of the best games of 2024. It takes the rules of poker and completely twists them into something hypnotic, seeing you wake from an hours-long stupor where you've been lost to the will of the cards. Dungeons and Degenerate Gamblers does the same for blackjack, as it takes the card game's simple rules and turns them up to overdrive. You've not got long, but this is a Steam Next Fest demo you don't want to miss downloading.
