Balance Changes
Player
  • 🚀 You can now thrust in Asteroids ++
  • The player can now hold LCTRL (or hold LB button) to thrust to double speed, but changes controls and movement feels much like in classic asteroids. You can use strafing to damage or even destroy asteroids at a fast enough speed.
  • Thrusting will however use up ability power (faster speed = more ability power used). Be careful! Clones will use more ability power if you have many of them!
  • This brand new feature will be for future ship types


Waves
  • Each wave gives 100 ability power (even with super skip)


Nuke
  • Nuke can now target UFOs (between medium and large asteroid priority, previously under small asteroids priority)
  • Nuke now deals 1.5X damage at starting level (20 > 30 per frame on level 1, 32 > 42 on max level), this change does not affect the player's losing health being inside the nuclear explosion
  • Mothership's pulse can reflect the nuke


Space Gifts
  • Timestop can now slow down space gift movement


Hook
  • The hook can now block enemy bullets at a cost of their carrying capacity being lowered because of it. The hook will have priority to chase after those bullets.
  • Because of this change, the price dropped from 70 > 50


Ability Power
  • Ability Power cannot go under 0 anymore.

  • Updated the engine to GM2024.13
  • More of the game translated (more menu buttons and planets)
  • Since the controls are starting to get a bit more complicated, I plan to release controls config for the 1.3.X, which is in the works.
