Act 1's Final Update

[p]Hello, everybody! Happy Autumn sale![/p][p][/p][p]I've endeavored to leave Act 1 in a good spot while I finish working on Act 2. Progress is going good! I expect it out early next year.[/p][p][/p][p]I packed this update full of a few explosive changes, as well as many smaller fixes and polish improvements.[/p][p][/p][p]The headlining feature is High Refresh Rate support, allowing Carter's Quest to run seamlessly at 90hz, 120hz, 144hz, and whatever else your twisted monitor can display. This required reworking significant chunks of the physics code and was no small undertaking. I can confirm, having played the game all the way through at 144hz, that it feels amazing![/p][p][/p][p]Also landing in this update are a few smaller changes, fixes, and improvements.   • [p]Fixed the infamous bug that resulted in Carter being unable to use his weapons until he jumped or dodged[/p]

  • [p]Made the Shard Bag usable with only a mouse[/p]
  • [p]Improved the Shard Bag's usability[/p]
  • [p]Freed the camera while riding the broom[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the bow's aim reticle when aiming at the sky[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a teleport after fighting Ogni[/p]
  • [p]Fixed visual bugs introduced during Act 2's development that were mistakenly pushed to Act 1[/p]
  • [p]Made button prompts reflect your control scheme in the main menu[/p]
  • [p]Fixed some guards being unable to be talked to (No idea how that one happened!)[/p]
  • [p]Fixed sound volume in some cutscenes being too high[/p]

Patch for August 26th

  • Reverted an unfinished change to environment volumes that was not supposed to be pushed to the live game.

Patch for August 22nd

  • Fixed a bug for the chest spawn particle would play after the chest cutscene ended
  • Fixed the broken visuals on Big Rat Imp

Patch for August 9th

  • Fixed a visual bug affecting all surfaces that utilize depth textures
  • Fixing said bug fixes the puzzle where you must melt the ice to free Maskulant, the latter half of the Wizard's College
