Early Access Update #80 - Cocoa trees!

In today's update we're adding a few new items and minor fixes.

New content:
  • New tree: Cocoa tree (3 variants)
  • New fence: Trellis fence


Gameplay changes:
  • One of the carvings now asks for minerals as resource.


Improvements:
  • Added Steam Presence information (so your friends can see your level and location.


Bugfixes:
  • Fixed weird timing issues on very long play sessions (5+ days long).
  • Fixed Obisidian showing the wrong icon in the prospecting table.

Early Access Update #79 - Bugfix update

In today's update we're fixing a number of rare issues, and adding a few minor improvements.

Improvements:
  • Increased towsnpeople paths length a bit so some areas of the town are less crowded.
  • Increased permission level required to use the Collaboration Hub from Plant to Build.
  • Added statistics for Production Buildings in the shop window. Data wasn't being stored before this update, so it will start counting from zero.


Bugfixes:
  • Max favor is now properly enforced upon load so cheaters can't affect other people's farms beyond the standard limit. A small note regarding cheats and mods: You're free to do whatever on your own farm, but if you start messing with other people's ones by using any exploit, we will take action.
  • Fixed Flowering Cherry low poly model having a position offset.
  • Fixed potential case of clients not seeing other players moving after a farm change.
  • Added a minimum 15 seconds delay when re-joining the same farm to prevent getting errors for reconnecting too quickly.

Early Access Update #78 - Travel Agency and more

In today's update we're adding a new building to the town, the Travel Agency, that allows you to quickly travel to it in the town.

We're also adding new minerals, paintings and some train-related decorations.

Finally, we've upgraded the Unity Engine to a newer version. While this shouldn't be a problem, please report any issues you may have.

New content:
  • New town building: Travel Agency.
  • 3 New minerals: Malachite, Opal and Obsidian
  • 2 New paintings: Pig and Sheep.
  • 2 New farm decorations: lifting barrier and train stop.


Improvements:
  • Upgraded Unity Engine version to 2022.3 . Let's hope nothing breaks!
  • Added guestbook icon to the map.
  • Performace improvements when generating the map.
  • Minor CPU performance improvements. Shouldn't be noticeable in most cases, as the game is usually GPU bound on PC.
  • Reorganized buttons in settings to have a little more sense.
  • Action popups will no longer show when you're on the pause menu, the shop, etc.


Bugfixes:
  • Ticket expiration time is checked when determining when to renew it. This should help with avoiding TicketExpired issues with extremely long play sessions.
  • Fixed render scale setting not being applied properly in splitscreen. Renders were more pixelated than intended.
  • Fixed farm intro not being shown properly when render size isn't 100% in split screen.
  • Fixed being able to play a deleted farm when it was the only farm you had.
  • Fixed house job popups not showing the resource boost when it's active.
  • Several arabic language fixes.
  • Fixed not seeing any kind of message when a controller is disconnected while playing in splitscreen.

Early Access Update #77 - Small update

Today's hotfix fixes a few issues introduced in yesterday's update:

Improvements:
  • Changed the Mine building entry position it can connect with train tracks.
  • Added a third setting to camera behavior on teleport. Changed its default value. The setting will need to be re-assigned if you want a different behavior.
  • Added some missing variations to the town customization items.


Bugfixes:
  • Fixed a few arabic text issues.
  • Fixed failed action prompts not being shown.

Early Access Update #76 - Town customization!

In today's update we're adding a new shop to the town, the Carpenter shop, that allows you to customize the looks of the town decorations.





While the amount of content in some of the categories is still limited, we'll keep adding new items over time.

New content:
  • Carpenter Shop, that allows you to customize town decoration. Decorations can be changed globally from the carpenter shop, or individually by interacting with specific items.
  • Added Rabbit bush decoration
  • Added 3 New Minerals to the Mine: Sandstone, Jasper and Calcite.
  • Added experimental Arabic language support, and partial community translation.There can be issues when mixing english and arabic texts in the same group, but it should work overall. Please report any issue that you find, but we can't guarantee to be able to fix all of them.


Improvements:
  • You can now place glowsticks on water tiles.
  • Slightly decreased fish cannery collision so it's easier to walk between two of them.
  • Shop sorting preferences are now saved between sessions.
  • You can now change farmhands' configuration without having to pay their wages, by using the Shop button while on their tile.
  • Upgraded networking engine to the latest version. Might help with disconnections.


Bugfixes:
  • Adjusted resource requirements for some flower paintings, to match their unlock level and looks.
  • Changed minimum level required for shop upgrades to request specific flower resources, such as poinsettias being asked way before they can be harvested.
  • Planters should now properly remember the last selected item when changing several of them one after the other.
  • Fixed mushroom outline not showing up when they can't be placed, and error prompt not showing up either.
