Update #45 - Bugfix update

Today we're releasing a small bugfix update, addressing a few achievement-unlocking issues and other bugs that were around for some time.

Improvements:
  • Slightly lowered tractor work sound volume.
  • "Tractor sounds" setting now affects tractor work sound as well (not just movement).


Bugfixes:
  • Fixed wrong preview shown when placing/moving fences over a corner hill or slope.
  • Fixed avatar preview being below ground when customizing looks in the wardrobe.
  • Fixed recipe related achievements not properly unlocked.
  • Fixed serious bug that would prevent the player from plowing on the very first run of the game.

Early Access Update #44 - Achievements!

Today's update brings a bunch of achievements (also shown as "challenges" in the game's menu) to unlock! Most of them can be retroactively unlocked once you load your farm.

We're also adding new hairstyles to customize your avatar!



New features:
  • Added achievement support.
  • New unlockable hairstyles.
  • Added 4 new hair colors.


Improvements:
  • Brought back performance improvements that were reverted in last hotfix (this time without bugs, we assume).
  • Added a new Medium setting in Model Quality.
  • Restyled some townspeople now that we have more variety.
  • Added an UI sound volume slider.
  • Friends and Favorites search now ignore server region.


Bugfixes:
  • Fixed character moving a bit after performing house jobs.
  • Fixed house build animation not always being shown.

Early Access Update #43 - New tractor, crops & bugfixes

Hi! In today's update we're adding a new tractor to unlock, and even more crops, as well as a bunch of improvements and bugfixes.

We know we've added a lot of crops lately! Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about other item categories, and new animals and fish will be coming soon :)



New content:
  • New unlockable tractor: Hot Rod
  • New crops: Asparagus & Parsley (3 variants)


Improvements:
  • Added a setting to prioritize tile content or addons (sprinklers/glowsticks) when moving/recycling a tile.
  • Several performance improvements for lower end systems.
  • Progress will be saved now even when visiting a farm (this means favor earned will be savd even if your system crashes).
  • Added new NPC and player animations.


Gameplay changes:
  • Slightly decreased amounts requested on quests for permanent farm items (basically anything that's not a crop).


Bugfixes:
  • Fixed some paintings changing frame colors.
  • Fixed falling below the ground when painting on an easel facing a wall.
  • Fixed minor UI issues when there's exactly 5 items in the list (backpacks).
  • Fixed menu music playing in the intro screen.
  • Fixed other player's name shown when both players are inside different houses.
  • Added an error warning when trying to recycle houses with players in it, or when trying to move/recycle items being used by other players.

Early Access Update #42 - Beans, map coloring and plenty of QoL improvements

In today's update, we're adding a few new crops to harvest, and glow sticks that allow you to customize the colors on your map. This should help doing amazing map pixel art without compromising the actual farm contents too much!

New content:
  • Glow sticks that will help you add more color to your map.
  • New crop: Beans (4 variants)
  • New planter variations with different floor types (sand and snow).


Improvements:
  • Added a panel to the Find Farms section explaining the meaning of the different icons and permission levels.
  • Farm map now has three zoom levels instead of two. Closest zoom level is a bit closer than before.
  • Terraforming: You can now keep the button pressed and terraforming will be applied over new tiles.Target height will be limited to the one where you pressed the button. This is really useful to quickly level or create big extensions.
  • Added a setting to control the range where interaction icons are shown. This can have an impact of performance on high values.
  • Recipe select window on house jobs will now show how many of that specific item are being prepared (if any).
  • Added a new icon in the Find Farms screen, showing an estimation of the amount of items ready for harvest in the farm, proportional to unlocked farm space. We'll be hearing for feedback on this, if it's useful or not, and if it leads to potentially unwanted behaviors.
  • Increased Security Booth/Signs maximum range to 18 tiles.


Gameplay changes:
  • Slightly decreased favor obtained from quest items. Slightly increased favor obtained from non-quest items. Previously, harvesting quest items gave approximately twice the favor compared to non-quest items. Now it's closer to +125%. This has been done to encourage staying on the same farm to get favor instead of hovering between farms, finishing quests and leaving. We'll be listening for comments and feedback on this change.


Bugfixes:
  • Fixed farm synchronization problem caused when harvesting ponds on specific circumstances.
  • Fixed Quest UI issues in split screen. Split screen now only shows a single pinned quest, but the rest of pinned quests will show when updated as usual.
  • Fixed being able to terraform over tiles with sprinklers.

Early Access Update #41 - Geraniums & New recipes!

Today's update brings a few new items to the table, as well as some improvements based on user feedback.



New content:
  • New flowers: Geranium (5 variations)
  • New recipes: 2 Appetizers & 2 Desserts.
  • New feeders. They work the same way as the current ones, but with a different look.
  • New crop: White Carrot.


Improvements:
  • Added a new Quality setting for lights.
  • You can now place trees on decorative planters.
  • Some under-the-hood changes to different systems, done with future updates in mind. This may have brought some new lighting or placement bugs. Please report them if you find any!


Balancing changes:
  • House jobs will be requested in smaller numbers in quests.


Lately we've been working on bigger features that will take more time to be fully complete. We're mixing it with smaller content updates such as this one, so there's still new things to do while we finish the bigger ones. Thank you for your understanding!
